so 5k is around 5 days work at our rates you have to design the site get Signoff develop the site - then re-doing it when the customer says oh but i want it to work like that(usualy in bizare and stupid ways)
you have to cover the cost of moving from your development enbironment to the eval box and then on the the live.
oh yes you can - I did several GINO-F based fortran progs icluding one with a crudeish GUI using a pen and tablet as the input mechanisiam and a tektronix display as output.
Thats sad - only a cople of years ago (when i worked for BT) I was having a drink with our DBA and some of the other developers and some of our (industrial placements) interns.
The DBA mentioned that he used to have Dijkstra as a boss at NPL. all the older developers where like "wow thats so cool" but the Ip didn't know who Dijkstra was which was sad.
