    The DVD's that allow you to use the 330880 code also allow you to specify which region to use - the last digit is the region.

    330881 = region 1
    330880 = region 0

    Nice browser, but makes you do things a little different to be annoying.

    No no, Opera's been doing it the same way Opera has done everything for ages. Keyboard shortcuts for everything, and sensible combinations for new features. Opera did many things FIRST (open link in new tab, open new tab in background), so is it their fault people decided to be different when building Mozilla?

    Shift click also makes more sense than using the middle button, which many people don't even have (and Windows doesn't have 'Emulate3Button' mode).

    Actually, son, old video games can be better than many new video games, because they couldn't RELY on nice graphics to sell the game. Kids actually had to have fun in order to want a game.

    Oh, and guess what? Good old games sold millions of copies.

    Yeah, and then all the producers have to decide between having an unrippable DVD that five people can watch, and not alienating the huge base of existing DVD players.

    Your average consumer isn't going to be happy at the idea of having to upgrade their home entertainment system AGAIN, solely for the purpose of protecting someone else's imagined profits.

    I think the problem here is that the slashdot editors have this stupid "If you can understand me, then my spelling doesn't matter" attitude, which I believe arises simply because they're fucking lazy.

    They would much rather everyone ELSE do the work of figuring out their garbled yet holy and enlightened wisdom, just so they don't have to learn to spell or proofread. You can see this attitude WELL at work when they don't even bother to properly read the articles they link to.

    This is probably an offshoot of wanting to be 'journalists' but not actually wanting to work.

    The same thing happens with other files too, e.g Delphi .PAS files.

    I searched for the text "property" in files called "*.pas" in C:\Progra~1\Borland, and it came back with no results. I was so shocked, I took screenshots.

    I think someone else has explained it and pointed out a registry key that you can edit to fix this, but that's hardly the point... were people COMPLAINING about the old search window?

    "It keeps returning what I searched for! I can't have this... ring Microsoft!"

    "Don't panic, they say they're bringing out a new OS called 'Ex-Pee' which brings a new low to the word 'functionality'! It obstructs your work and gets in the way of simple tasks, but it doesn't crash much!"
