I was recently the Fiduciary, or executor, or an estate where an iPad was involved.
I sent a letter, as the Fiduciary, along with my appointment papers, requesting the password, in order that a proper value of the iPod could be determined, which included the data on the iPad.
Apple refused.
I immediately made an appointment with the Judge of the Probate, and explained the situation. She immediately sent a letter to Apple, demanding that they supply or clear the password, or be charged with contempt of court.
They sent the password.
Thankfully, this is not a large area, population-wise, that this could be handled quickly. I can only imagine how difficult it could be in a large city.
Blizzard has always held that WoW is a social game. To play with your friends. They offered this as a way to get close to your friends to play with them, rather than taking a whole bunch of time to catch up.
In the next xpac, the max level is 100. The boost brings you up to the beginning level of the xpac. Everyone gets a free one with the xpac, and then after that, you can buy it. Originally, this was not going to be offered, but Blizzard listened to its players and offered it. Why is listening to your audience bad?
Nice press release, Activision Blizzard. You have a good press agent.
Now what really happened when the heard about it.
Mike Morheim : *curses like a sailor*
Chris Metzen : *invents new curse words and is even louder*
Ghostcrawler: "What do I care? I'm outta here anyways..."
Yeah, it was about like that, I'm sure.
Title says it all.
The author seems to say he speaks for the community.
Yet the game keeps growing and growing.
Third person view is OPTIONAL and removable with 1 keystroke. The community has been asking for this option.
The game is free to play. Free to Win as well. They are offering options, is all. You can earn them in game, or quicker through micro-transactions. just like every other free to play game.
PGI seems to be a good company, as well as a socially conscious company. They just completed a charity campaign where the players were able to puchase a specially designed and skinned mech for $10 US. Every single penny of that ten bucks was given to the Canadian Cancer Society in the name of one of the player's daughter, Sarah, who passed away from cancer. the child used to play with her father. They designed the skin with some cute things just for her. And 15k players, including myself, bought one. Over 150k US donated. That's saying a lot.
The author is smoking crack. Must be, because he's sprouting nonsense.
Well, I know in Star Wars: The Old Republic, the British accent is to emphasize the Empire part of the Sith Empire. The Rebellion, or Republic, side uses an American accent. That, and the original Star Wars used a whole lot of British actors.
Most likely either a RIM-156 or a RIM-162, depending on the range. The RIM-156 range is about 100 nautical miles, and the RIM-162 is about 50 nautical miles.
That, or they'd just shoot it down with a fighter jet.
Hate to say it, but you're wrong. They responded. They responded with seven thousand pages of documents. Of course, it was all fuzzy math and BS. They did say they weren't required to but they did respond.
This has been a long fight. One that has cost alot of money as well. But we have to remain vigilant. Otherwise they'll try it again.
... they're not in CT like I am. The "breastfeeding lobby" here is rabid. There is also a number of laws here that impose criminal penalties.
I personally know of restaurants that have been closed down just for saying something to a nursing mother.
Personally, I find NOTHING sexual about a nursing baby. And people who do are just... disgusting.
The BATFE has constantly ignored scientific evidence, and has stalled a seven year long lawsuit at every turn. Even the judge is mad at them. The judge has to report to Congress as to why its taking so long.
And it doesn't look like its going to end anytime soon. So onto year 8 of the fight.
They tried to disbar him once, and he sued them for megabucks. They setled for 20k.
He is currently under investigation, but he filed another suit against the Florida Bar, in federal court. Although IIR, he dropped it in order to pursue a state one.
He's a fucking asshole out to make a buck and become famous off of other people's misery.
... will come out of the woodwork.
Within 24 hours, Jack Thompson will be screaming about how he's won his battle to utterly destroy Take Two.
This won't destroy Take Two. If the SEC finds something, they'll pay a fine. Which means the new Tennis game will cost 50 cents more.
Why did he even bother?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't this his EX-employer? Why did he bother then? If he didn't work for them anymore, why did he care? Was he going to make any more money off of this action?
Sorry, but as far as I'm concerned, once my employer is an ex-employer, I could care less is their entire business crashed, or if their programs caused trains to run into each other. They're not paying me anymore, so I could care less about them or their product.
This happens all the time to me. My wife and my mother have the same first name, but different middle names. (Mary Ann and Mary Lou) We get all kinds of credit card companies calling us, and my wife saying "but we don't have a credit card at your store. We don't even LIKE your store."
And what makes things worse is that my parents live with us. No, not a "You're 40 and you still live with your parents" thing. They're old, so we take care of them.
That is pretty good treatment.
Salary for 3 months, then a 1 month bonus, then vacation pay, which is anywhere from 2-4 weeks.
So approx. 5 months pay severance total. That's an excellent deal. Last time I was laid off, I got 2 paychecks and unused vacation time. And considering I had just come back from vacation two weeks before, wasn't much. And I was there 5 years. And it was a full half of the company that got laid off.
I know why they want to do this...
They must have intercepted the cell phone conversations of John Carter.
This means the Warlord of Mars is a terrorist! The probably want to get his son, Carthoris of Helium, as well.
Many, if not most, state's laws say that in small claims court, the parties are not represented by a lawyer. This means they would actually have to send a company rep to small claims.
That might make things interesting.
But I do see alot of default judgements happening.
This guy was a temp.
As a temp, you don't work for the Client. Usually, you work for the agency.
This guy took a picture of something at the Client's site, posted it to a blog, said he worked there, and basically denegrated the Client.
So, the Client decided that they didn't want the temp there anymore. Perfectly within their rights to do so AT ANY TIME!
If I was MS, I would have done it too. This idiot deserved exactly what he got.
Looks like Team Fortress to me. This one is a fail. Sorry, Bliz. You have a great track record, but this one is a dud.

Farewell, old friend. Your icon has been on my desktop for 15 years. And I will miss you.

We're at 3.64/gal here in Milford, CT. And no, we're not some hick town either. We're right on I-95, the NY to Boston Corridor.

Connecticut's is still having issues, as of Monday. 3/4 of the time, you can't even do a claim inquiry.

No, the Dolan's bought back the company earlier in the spring.
And why would he have FiOS when CBV employees gets TV gold package, Internet, and VoIP for free? I get it, and I'm just a tech support slob.
The government did tests to see if they could hit an airliner with one on November 3rd, 2003, and torched their own van. A rental van at that.

Well, when they call, I'll just try to sell them some new windows while I have them on the phone.
The real question is:
*drumroll*
Do they spit or swallow?
My guess is spit. Because we now all "decent" ones swallow.
