"Not too long ago, people thought the Earth was flat"
It's a common misconception and almost modern myth that people in the recent past believed the earth was flat. The truth is that it was generally accepted by most learned people that the earth was spherical from the 1st century onwards and many argued so much earlier. You can read more about this here:

K3b is a great program as is XCDRoast, however both these programs are just graphical front ends for CDrecord and the other command line tools. Even though Nero is a closed source commercial product I for one am very pleased to see an alternative to CDrecord, which I have often, along with many other users, found to be problematic and a general pain in the arse.
Yes but it's very easy to set up and use. So easy in fact that my 60 year old mother has it on her Windows PC allowing me to easily communicate with her via my Linux laptop.
The differences in British and American spelling are thanks to Noah Webster who decided to change the spelling of some words when he published "The American Spelling Book" in 1800. Both forms are now correct provided the writer is consistent.
"We are responsible for 38.4% of TV downloads in the EU and 18.5% worldwide."
That's 38.5% of the total downloads within the European Community and not 38.4% of the worldwide downloads.
The two cameras are not the same the more expensive one has a metal case whereas the Rebel has a crappy plastic case plus a pentamirror instead of a true pentaprism. If you ask me it is Canon themselves who have released the hack in order to increase sales of an infrerior quality product.
