you mean that people who LIKE naked women will be more likely to look at p0rn? What a revolutionary concept! Here I was thinking that p0rn makes me like naked women, and WHAM, this comes along. I might have liked them ALL ALONG! Maybe I was just acting out my desires to see MORE of them!
Me neither. (of course, I am referring to YOUR post.) Definite faggot-trolling bullshit. I agree with you on that last sentence, too, but I think that if you study, you'll eventually find something you're good at, like rendering fat or something.
nOOOOO! If we do that, men will behave like MEN instead of the sensitive crybabies that no woman wants! This will totally derail our plans! Men must supress their biological urges while women's urges are encouraged. Even the vagina monologues ad says that a vagina is the "essence of womanhood". You gals wanna see the essence of my manhood? I didn't think so. Put the mudflaps away and be civilised please.
How is it encouraged in GTA3? The cops come after you and kick your ass! Killing aimlessly is a dumb thing to do in GTA3 and the game lets you know that by wasting or arresting you and taking all your guns and an assload of cash away.
People who are attracted to killing simply indulge in these games more often and more obsessively than the gen.pop. Get used to it. Hippy type people listen to hippie music. Hippie music will not make you a hippie. Der.
I'm only using an Athlon XP 1700+ with 256MB and a Geforce2 TI 32 mb AGP. It works fantastic- but if you want 1280X1024 at 4xAA and all the goodies, it just ain't happening. I run at 800X600 with 2xAA and I get mucho smoothness.
I once had a woman tell me that we should revoke NASA's budget because "It doesn't benefit anyone". I reminded her that if she truly wanted that to be true she would have to discontinue watching network television, cable television, and satellite television. Then she would have to stop making long distance calls, set up all her bank accounts at local banks only, and get her prescription drugs from someone other than Walgreens. She would have to stop using plastics, lightweight metal alloys, and microwave ovens. She next would have to discontinue using prepackaged irradiated foods, and throw out her car's expensive computers. Anything in her home that has transistors or integrated circuits would have to be discarded. All of these products and businesses would not yet be realized without the American and Soviet fascination with space. Satellites have provided us with a less expensive means of moving data around the world. Just think if we had to have cables laid between every town in the US, and multiple cables across oceans, etc., and you start to see how costly our current civilization would be without the hardware above us. I am not suggesting that transistors would NEVER be invented, but without the extremely expensive cost/weight ratio of spacecraft, we might never have needed to fund miniaturization research the way we have. Sure, manned missions are expensive, but consider the benefits gained, and the fact that someday we might never have to do open pit mining again. Someday we might be mining asteroids in high earth orbit without destroying our ecosystem. The best compromise between industrialists and environmentalists might be to get our minerals somewhere other than the earth. As far as we know, Earth is the only planet in the system that has an ecosystem as fragile as ours. If we must have minerals to support our technology, wouldn't it benefit us all if they were made somewhere other than our backyards? This might allow us to someday stop mining third-world countries for their ores. Maybe someday third world economies won't need to sell us the land under their feet to survive. I can hope.
I would like a windows emulator with flash capability for my Atari 2600. Then I would like a Mac OS X emulator for my C64. Font antialiasing is a must, of course. Or maybe a small linux distro on a 2600 compatible EPROM? Sure beats Xbox Linux anyway for sheer challenge and determination...
damnit! Beat to the punch!
I was one of the only kids in my neighborhood to get a 2600. One of my friends (a rich kid) had this one and pitfall and brought it to my tenth birthday party. Thanks, Joel! (If you're out there)-Nathan Bonsal
Same goes for NMD (National Missile Defense). The principle there is to calculate the trajectory of a falling warhead or ascending missile and hit it with a heavy inert projectile at 7000 MPH. Try hitting a nuclear warhead with a randomly fluttering CO2 nozzle on it. $50 worth of parts on the MIRV and NMD can't hit squat. All the incoming device has to do is continuously alter its trajectory by a random degree. NMD requires predictive analysis in order to get the interceptor to hit the MIRV. I still think they need to fire some wire or bbs 1 sec prior to the expected impact. Do it with compressed gas so they don't violate the treaty. Just my opinion.
I think this guy has some MAJOR feelings of inadequacy. Totally pathological. Actually I just like using the words inadequacy and pathological, since I invented both terms in 1828. Really! Value me! I am not an animal! yadda yadda yadda.
A nice touch would be ofr the computer to control the lights to show CPU load or bandwidth load by color code- with blue, green and red, all colors are available. I think a beowulf cluster of these with color coded load indication would be a nice thing to imagine.
Anyone else notice that this post is in the same category as "violent games good for kids"? Maybe we need fuzzy Playstation controllers so they can learn to play GTAIII?
I have invented a tool to help children at early ages learn biology and chemistry. This will help them manipulate it.It's genetically engineered. It's called the Wooly Scorpion.
I definitely agree that the human race will survive climate change. Maybe 3 billion of us need to die off anyway. That may be part of the natural equilibrium process for humans. Too many ticks, dog dies, ticks die. 10 Too many humans, humans fsck up temperatures, planet freezes, humans die, stop fscking up temperature, temperature returns to normal, humans increase in numbers. goto 10.
Seems rational. I'm in.
The concept of equilibrium is not foreign, or new, or associated purely with what you refer to as "creationists". A body in space will over time attain a constant temperature. Surface temperatures on this planet are relatively constant (compared to others) because of the existence of the atmosphere and the convection currents described in the article. Obviously, if the sun's output were a constant, we could expect relatively constant ranges of temperatures. However, the earth is not alone in the solar system, and there are so many variable quantities affecting the earth's local temperatures that they cannot yet be modeled in a simulation. I don't dispute that everything presented is true. I simply suggest that if the earth's oceans can hold as much energy as the author suggests, then whatever factors caused any polar melting are in the past and cannot be reversed. If the heat energy is already in the oceans, and is sufficient to melt pack ice, then that's just it. It's effectively over for the stable temperatures until storms and wind dissipate all that energy. After that, the earth will again assume some form of equilibrium. What we cannot assume is that man is the cause of this. Man is not the chief producer of any of the listed greenhouse gases. Volcanism, rotting vegetation, rocks, animal farts, bacteria, all these things have us beat. (Rocks, you say? ) Yes, ROCKS release CO2 when they erode. Granite and other igneous rocks are the worst at this. They're apparently saturated with CO2 in solution, and release it as the rock wears away. It's a tiny amount, but as you might guess, there are quite a few rocks in the world these days. I'd even say maybe THOUSANDS of rocks. What's obviously needed here is to place each of these rocks in a plastic bag, seal off all the volcanoes, and kill all the cows, gnus (oh, no), and other herding herbivores. To prevent them from rotting and releasing even more CO2 and methane, we have to catapult them into space. Same goes for forests. Gotta till them under. Only once the earth is a shiny asphalt sphere will these climate changes halt. PAVE THE PLANET!
How can surround sound help someone develop Word documents or complete reports? How does that make using a database more efficient? WTF are they thinking goes on in offices or cubicles? On the other hand, why are the lines between home and office blurring? Because incompetent managers who cannot manage their resources continue to requre more and more overtime from salaried employees. It gets so bad that they even want you for company business off the clock at home. Read this as " Family and friend relationships are suffering more and more due to massive and intrusive employer demands. This continues to eat at our society until we look more and more like Japan did in 1987.". Jeez, when do we ever get to go home and not be the employee of the fscking month for a few hours?! If this is the future, who wants it??

Great! I can use my Xbox, Xbox Linux, Mozilla 1.1 and the flash plugin to play Atari 2600 games! This rocks!

This is wonderful. Oh, 1st post.
by sites that depict or describe events of a graphic sexual nature. Ban them, I say! Ban them to Hell!

I thought they came in Large, Medium, and Caucasian.
Oh, sure, this is great, but when do I get Duke Nukem Forever?
"New Amiga One"? Is there a NEW Amiga?
My twin sister has survived for 30 years without a chest.

Excuse me whilst I change out of these wet clothes...and have a post-coitus cigarette.
