and because we got them cheap. and we can run debian on them, so there.
Debian IS awesome for all of the supported platforms. It supports
i386, PPC, M68K, MIPS, DEC MIPS, Alpha, SPARC, HP-PA RISC, ARM, and IBM S/390.
DAMN!!:)
to burn all of it to CD, including the GNU/HURD and Source packages for Debian, Would require 89 Compact Discs.
I have Sparc, PPC, MIPS, PPC, and x86 boxes. It's nice to know i could install Debian on all of them if i wished.
BTW, i never had a problem with the debian installer, and i *am* somewhat of a newbie:P only problem was getting X working.

I thought the tremors movies, though hokey and kinda un-scientific (as they were probably meant to be) were very entertaining. I'm looking forward to the series. BTW, i visited the tremors series webpage and took this from the description of the infra-red seeking, lion-sized bipedal shrieker:

Does anybody remember the original trek's "City on the edge of forever"? Kirk is given the choice between Altering history and saving a girl he fell in love with, or letting her die and preserving history as we know it. Touching, really, and a perfect analogy.
