    They could have kept making it like sonys ps2 and make it smaller, sell way more, sure it would compete with the 360 but at least you can get it
    into the cheaper market and 3rd world nations. Companies can make their profits on xbox1 games while they take a risk on the 360.

    Besides all those xbox1 people would eventually go to the 360, but no.... if you just kill the first gen, you piss a lot of people off like
    game developers and gamers who just dont see any new games for it. It still had plenty of power , more than the ps2.

    MS could have given the xbox1 the 360 style dashboard too. They already had a big base they could have kept making loads of software sales on.

    Idiots, no one has done that before by killing one gen to bring the next gen.

    3) limit due to landfills, we make more rubbish now
    4) limit in public transport and road space, we cannot build more than you can only fit so many in one train (1000)

    Imagine humans like bacteria on a dish or a rotten apple, there is a limit until the bacteria eats/consumes ALL its resources and ends up dieing it self out and reducing the population.

    So if the death rate is 1%, but you grow population by 2% and thus cause more demand for housing & ipods & cell phones & food, prices go up! businesses grow, more night
    clubs get made, more shops get built, more of everything grows.

    But simply increasing the people count wont solve everything, eventually you turn into tokyo x 100. Just run a graph of 1-2% over 150 years, 2150 is going to be hell!

    No one is againts the people/race themselves, just excessive growth, more competition in the work place... and you do get the bad batch of wierdos and people who cannot
    adjust and just are a menace.

    You could instead use more normal components in a 100% sealed container thats vacume isolated and suspended on a magnetic field and uses small a heat generated turbine to make electricity since its so hot.

    Btw, how much of venuss heat is due to presure rather than the greenhouse effect, since only 30% of light/heat gets to the surface it would take a long time to heat up, it still loses
    heat due to normal thermal dynamics . But if venus was at mars distance, how hot would it still be? Try any gas at 90 earth here and does it get hot?

    Just make a tiny robot the size of an ipod that slowly drives on the panels and cleans the dust away and then throws it out the side like a mini hoover.
    Doesnt matter that it would take 1 week to clean a whole panel, it would be powered by its own battery/recharge on the side.

    Or just be cheap use a one time sticky roll on roller that rolls off, total weight a few ounces , zero electronics, 100% glue based.

    1. why not ask the user when shutting down, "Are you changing any hardware? and if so tick which from this list"

    the user can tell the OS what he is about to change, windows can grow a brain cell and not go mental if it knows in advance
    that some piece of hardware will change.

    Even changing 100% of components should be allowed, surely windows can register on the net that this UID is about to change 100%, and
    then check later to make sure there are not two PCs using the same UID. And who cares if some people do this behind a firewall so
    the OS cannot check or know.

    Maybe only grads work at ms and not real world experienced people, I dont know.

    Any way, why in gods earth does MS make it so easy for apps to install 'plugin' type objects , active x or dlls or whatever extensions into Explorer so easily. And
    why do they make it so hard to identify them and remove them!!

    Too much intergration is just asking for trouble, give the user more power.

    Why not just spend 1 interrupt to transfer the whole 8 to 20meg of data to ram in the ONE GO, then play the mp3 from ram.
    Surely the 20meg is cheaper than 50000 switches/second. Since many lame apps use lots of ram, 20meg is hardly a killer.

    Friggin use a 16-32meg buffer, thats less than 25cents of ram. Any programmer that just a lame ass OO input class that depends on the language/OS to do
    its prebuffering is as lazy as a VBasic programmer. Get of your ass, write the 50 lines of code it takes to make a buffer pre loader.

    Lesson one, never trust the OS to do all the magic for you, as your code could be written for any OS but if not then any model of the one OS.

    Yes, all windows caches are dumb, they are not content dynamic in nature, they treat all data equally which is wrong, caching a dvd is different to caching
    a txt file or an mp3 file. Some require more , some require little.

    Search for C++ and find 10000s of results/samples/etc....

    People do more than just back end database integration to web front ends. The day intel implements C# decoding on CPU side to make it as fast
    or faster than native code, that might move a LOT OF mindset to it.
