The reason you have not been able to buy OS X for non-Apple hardware is that it would not run well on such a wide range of hardware. The brilliance behind producing the hardware and the software as Apple does, is that you get superior reliability and performance.
Not only that, but the type of headphones used will also effect battery life. The larger the headphone's speakers, the more current they're going to draw from unit.
Hacking the XBox is NOT about getting a cheap computer that runs linux. It is about curiosity be fulfilled throgh experimentation. I have three machines in the closet that could easily do the job but that's no fun. If you hate Microsoft, want a cheap piece of hardware, AND mentor after Dr. Frankenstein; buy the XBox and the book and FEED YOUR BRAIN!
...They seem to have spent a lot of time making the effects "big", but they seem to have spent very little time making sure the effects looked natural.
IT WAS JUST A MOVIE. How the hell could the stunts look natural if the stunts were intended to defy the laws of physics?!? IT IS FICTION. The real reason most movie effects fail to impress people is that those who complain about EVERY little detail seem to have lost their sense of wonder. NO movie can instill the nostalgia of your lost youth. Try suspending your disbelief for 2-3 hours and maybe you wouldn't be so disappointed.
I once worked for Levy Restaurant Group at a Rosebud Italian restaurant in a primarily Jewish neighborhood. I requested off the Xmas holidays(December 24 & 25) three months previous to the days and was told "Don't worry, we're not open on those days." We are one of the few Catholic families in the area and was relieved to hear that I would be able to go to Church AND spend time with my family.
Well, on December 22nd, my boss approaches me and says "I need you to work one of the two days. Business should be good since most people around here are Jewish and don't celebrate Xmas. Which shift do you want, the 24th or the 25th?" I told him neither; I was going to spend the days with my family. He just stared right through me and said "I know you'll make the right choice. Think about it."
I thought about it alright. I told him "My family is more important to me than this fuckin' job." and quit in the middle of my shift in a packed restaurant. After the holidays were over, he called me every other day for nearly three weeks asking if I wanted to work. Aparently, five other servers did the exact same thing!
If we had known what each of the others was going to do, we may have been able to bring our grievences to the table and been able to come to an agreement of sorts. NEVER stay anywhere you are not appreciated or respected. And ALWAYS try to stay unionized whenever possible. Strength in numbers may get you what you want.
...would be a good way of disabling microelectronics. I used to return Nintendo cartridges and CDs this way long ago before they got wise to it. I would think that 'nuking' your cash or lining your wallet in aluminum foil; sort of a Faraday Cage for your cash; would damage or negate these tags.
Hacking the XBox can hardly be called "a worthless waste of time." Anytime a person has enough curiousity and know-how to crack open the case of a computer/appliance/gadget; ESPECIALLY one manufactured by such a hated company as Microsoft; and tinker around with it to gain a better understanding of the device or to improve/change its function is NOT A WASTE OF TIME.
We need more curious minded people if we are ever going to grow as a society. We need to understand the computers and devices that we depend on in the 21st century. Otherwise we be just as better off in the Dark Ages.
No such thing as American loyalty anymore.

With all the tax breaks and hardly any legal restrictions governing multinational corporations, what is the incentive for a business to stay in the U.S.? If they can hire people to fulfill jobs at a fraction of the costs or pollute without restrictions and watchdog/whistleblower groups eyeing them; why stay here? The wealthiest have no true loyalty to anyone except their pocketbooks and that's how it's always been. Innovation has been squashed time and time again regardless of the benefits to the country or humanity. The bottom line is and ALWAYS has been money. It is one of the fundamental flaws of a capitalist society. We need to change the laws that protect the corporations from persecution; say anything bad about one and watch the legal backlash that insues. Corporations have too much power and way too much influence in all of our lives. End this and the country can then start on the road to recovery.
Do you always call people stupid and then hide anonymously so that you don't have to face a logical discussion? The U.S. could NOT extend it's empire 'without breaking a sweat'. If you mean by sheer brute force, such as an all out global war; without any consideration for the fact that we have to continue diplomacy and foreign trade then...yeah! We could follow your ignorant, jocko, 'win-or-lose-is-the-only-way' sports mentality and blow everyone and everything to pieces. But diplomacy; whether initiated fairly or not; is more like chess. Do you play chess? C-H-E-S-S. didn't think so. Neanderthals don't think. If it's a battle of wits you're after, then play with your dirty socks or engage in a thought provoking conversation with a hand puppet. Try to listen to what others are trying to say before you're so quick to judge. You may learn something.
The use of microwave technology in warfare has been dabbled with by the U.S. government since the early 1960's, if not earlier. Studies have showed that extremely low microwave frequencies; in the 6-10Hz range; can disrupt biological functions in mammals and avians without the more common effects such as the burning of tissue. some of these effects include: equilibrium/navigation disruption, heart papilations/attacks, confusion/disorientation, and finally death. This "new technology" is just cleverly disguised cold war black-ops technology with a new label to make it more palatable to the American public who government is eager to extend its global empire.

Amen. I teach special ed during the day and when I want to play a game, I usually like it to be simple to play and hard to master.
Hmmm, latent homosexuality rears its head. You're such an idiot! Come on out already!

It was the Thing he tried to stuff into the Batmobile, not the Hulk. Stan later tried to 'Hulk-out' unsuccessfully in front of the Androids Dungeon.
Computers discriminate against Luddites. Ban technology. Oops...wait...it's kinda happening already.
...Sometimes that is all you can really do. Be thankful you are employed and have steady income.

I agree. This is a genuine hack. If I have to get out my soldering iron and toolkit... it's a hack.

What made you say "Palestine"? Why would the terrorists go back to Palestine of all the places in the Middle East? Are all terrorists from Palestine?
Amen

You should be more concerned about your horrific spelling. 'Great' is spelled G-R-E-A-T.

We have it already; it's called HAARP.
