I had the opposite happen to me. I have been programming for years, but couldn't get a job because I did not have a degree. I got that degree, went in for an interfivew, got the job, but before they would hire me; they wanted their top programmer to interview me. He asked me questions that was clear to me he did not understand programming. Then he said I was pulling it at of my a**. I said "What!?" And ye said "Yeah, you are pulling it out of your a**." WoW! Lost that job and was downtrodden. Wound up wokring at a University for half what I used to make. They get a great deal and I am supposedly building up experience. I think the biggest problem is that no one understands the "programming"problem in the first place. People who say they are experts don't know everything and those coming in just need the experience; we all know that.
And I bet no one reads the paperwork either.
I used to have to write reports on what I did not fix equipment. Since I susupected no one read my reports, I put in things like "repaired the space time rip." And sure enough, no one has questioned my repair methods.
My guess is that the church has document control and that the 1999 manual is already out of date. I believe that the manual is probably accessible on www.lds.org through links (not password protected). However, knowing which string of links to get to the information is the secret.:-)

Are these the same people they are going to use the microwave passive weapon on?
I had someone photograph my house, then a month later my insurance company sends me a notice that I needed to paint my house to keep my insurance. I have siding and told them so (siding does not need to be painted). The insurance company wanted me to take pictures of the siding to prove it! Do they not have the records from previous coverage? They are such idiots! I had to take the pictures and email them in several times before someone with brains put a stop to the madness. In addition, other of my neighbors started to paint their home. I guess I was not the only one.
My point exactly, doesn't sulphur dioxide create acid rain. Why distroy the Earth just so we can drive cars for a few more years. That is the stupidest idea I have ever heard.
I am glad you pointed out the temperature difference, that was what I was going to do. The temperature difference is extremely important, you do not have a system with just heat.
I agree with you 100% on this. Why is Mr. Torvalds trying to assert his control over a name that has long been associated with community contributions. This is as bad as SCO's legal fight againt Linux and I cannot help but think it is only going to get worse. Unless Mr. Torvalds is planning on representing the community and protecting the name in order to help battle against SCO. Either way, the trend is very bad.
I agree with you 100%. The FBI agents are trained to lie and intimidate. Why would they tell the truth about taking the hard drives? The FBI does whatever gets them results, even if innocent people's lives are ruined.
I just want to mention I am a huge Star Trek fan. And, it makes me so mad that none of the local station in Austin broadcast it. I have not seen one eposode of the new show, and there are no DVD out there because I would buy them if I could find them. Yeah, I know cable; at $60 a month, that is more than I can afford. I cannot help it that I am broke.
Just answer every question by shacking your head so hard that your lips modulate any sound you make. If they don't think that is pure genius, there is no hope.
So, SCO is showing some sanity. I bet they weren't thinking their whole little scam would end if they sued and seized Bank of America's software (finicial data). What jerks for even concidering it. I hope when this is all over, that the whole Federal system comes againt them.
Exposing the whole wafer was something done in the past. But now the geometries are smaller, so the image that light passes through onto the wafer is bigger. The image is stepped one at a time from a larger image and the image is made so much smaller that the focal plane becomes important. You cannot focus to far above or below the resist before the image becomes fuzy; so, to copy that process all at once would require a huge space for all the images and would required a huge lens (the lens is already huge for just one pattern). This just isn't practical and may not be possible. In places where the geometries are not critical, there are still some steppers that nearly expose all at once. They may have 4 or 9 squares of repeated patterns.
I work in a fab and a lot of what is said in that article is wrong! 200mm - 300mm is 8 inch to 12 inch, do the math. Also, the yellow light is to keep the photoresist from getting exposed. However, that's old technology, the yellow light is no longer needed because the photoresist has moved to higher frequencies. I don't want to go on about how bad that article is, but it is.
Obviously you are a liberal idiot. Are you going to blame George Bush just because he says nuclear right and you don't? Some people need to get educated.
If we were to take this to it's logical conclusion, our retinal neural networks are being damaged by looking at digitized images. Give me a break. Hey, it's LOUD music that damages your hearing by both breaking the fine hairs in the cochlea and stressing the neurons into poor transmission.
No, I don't support the DMCA.:-) I think the old laws served their purpose. I don't think people should take things that are not theirs, it's stealing otherwise and there are laws already in place for that. If you bought it, you have the right to copy, edit, mix, or whatever.
I agree, see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unified_Extensible_Firmware_Interface I am surprised no one has mentioned looking up what UEFI is in the first place. It is harmless as far as I can tell and improves the booting system.

It makes me feel warm and fuzzy that an aggressor can be taken out so easily.
So, can't an experiment be done beaming neutrinos at a detector from a particle accelerator to see if neutrinos are the culprits?
Where would those monks be now if they rejected the current number system and continued using roman numerals?
Thanks for that information. :-) I did not know this existed, now I am extremely interested.

That was a wasteful and non-productive comment.
