    The article says Ballmer will increase marketing budgets significantly. So we're going to be hearing about "improved business consistency" from Microsoft alot, without that necessarily beeing the truth.

    The results of their research makes no sense before the measurements have been conducted and analyzed over a long period of time.

    The "tilting" is just an observation of the variying stretch of an equatorial bulge, due to centrifugal force. Also, the rotational axis wobbles between 21.5 and 24.5 degrees and the GPS precision varies slightly due to moment of inertia.

    Scientists from Nottingham... Not quite.

    TrollTech has done a fantastic job with the Qt embedded GUI lib. It's superfast.

    That said, I don't like these small widgets. Try typing

    c.t[j] <<= (m % 2 && i>1) ? sft[i-1] : sft[i]
    on it.

    It hurts.

    The software department of the U.S. patent office is a joke, and I doubt prior art has stopped anyone eager enough from getting a patent.

    After all, someones once patented a XOR cursor routine (patent #4,197,590)

    You may be amused, or horrified, by some of these software patent examples. It appears that Europe is not really that much better, something the Patent Horror Gallery explicates.

    So Be Aware: If my karma drops below good, I may issue a patent for a system that karmafies people and then sue the hell out of OSDN ;-)
