The first I owned, as a gift, was a Color Computer II, with the game cartridges like Doubleback, and Megamunchers. Didn't do much computing on it. Then we got a Commodore 64 and Vic 20 parts. Never got the Vic 20 going, but we had fun with the Commodore 64. The school, where my Dad was a teacher had his Model III, and a Model IV, and a bunch of Apple ][, and ][e computers. Soon there was an 8088 as well.
I have the same feeling. With some services where I don't care if I lose access if I stop using my Facebook account, I'll have it sign in for me. Otherwise I try to sign up directly on the site I'm registering for to use.
I'd prefer having the support of local people. However, religious belief too often stands in the way of telescopic investigation of our universe. Perhaps there can be something done so they feel it is part of their culture after all.

The reason we all know about it now is because the Ottawa Citizen broke the story after obtaining EC documents through the Freedom of Information Act. It's been widely reported and known that these calls affected close to 100 ridings. Just because there's an investigation, doesn't mean we have to play dumb until it's finished.
Independent media has said more than 0 ridings were swung, but the fact remains that the crime existed even if no voters were swayed by the ruse. Facts are on my side, not yours.
Believe it or not, despite this being a big political scandal, there is an even bigger one unfolding in Canada. This other one could make Watergate look minor. Actual Watergate criminals have expressed shock at how big RoboCon could be.
Some group conspired during the last Canadian general election to place (hundreds of?) thousands of misleading and/or harrassing phone calls to members of the Liberals and NDP predominantly, to suppress their votes. The Conservative Party was the benefactor of this plot, obtaining a majority government in our Parliament, giving the Prime Minister nearly unchecked power for 5 years. It's been calculated by a professor and independent researcher, LaRue, from Quebec (now living Stateside), that the Robocalls may have affected the outcome in as many as 18 ridings (12 gave the Conservatives a majority).
I've spoken with LaRue, and I trust his findings. His other unreleased allegations are also huge. I'm not exaggerating. I think he's ahead of the RCMP and Elections Canada in their own respective investigations.
Party names mean very little. When last were the "Republicans" major proponents of a republic?

I too want an affordable electric car that gets decent speed and distance. Although, living in Canada where it's cold at least 4 months of the year, I'm thinking a plug-in hybrid may be a better solution so heating comes from burning fuel, instead of burning coal at the power plant.
It's because they aren't showing off their extravagant wealth by overusing water, that they lower their property value, and thus 'damage' the yuppies around them who only care about image and not sustaining life. It's cultural evolution at work.

Now SaskTel has good prepaid. For $20, I can phone as infrequently as I need to, and the minutes don't expire if I make a 1 second call every 2 or 3 months (or something like that). The minutes used to expire if you didn't add another $20 card in that time, but a law change prevented that.
