    is it pedoporn, or articles like "how to build an atomic bomb using a peace of wood and some salt" or is it *useful* information?

    i think this matters.

    Fortunately their technology to circumvent such evilness sucked, and was broken.

    not only. most stand-alone dvd players are easily converted to play any dvd (from a diffent region) because the hardware manufacturer made it that easy (by pressing some buttons on your remote).
    if this happens this time also, the whole palladium thing is going to crash early.

    i think what your paren post was stating is that if you take a peace of gpled code and you want to modify it, you can't. with the bsd license you can.

    The BSD license is not friendly at all to the developers producing code.

    i can't agree with you in that.
    if you write a class with basic functions, let's say a textbox, and you give the sources to me, and i write a hole application using your textbox, i think i have the right to sell my product back to you.
    you just wrote the textbox. i did a lot of work around it.

    just like apple did.

    i submitted this story, and nobody paied me to do that.
    it's just that i was at work, had no time, cut'n'pasted the description from the website, and submitted the story.
    since i bought one, and i liked it, i tought it could be interesting.
    that's all.

    do i have to ask for money next time?

    yep. the firewall (probably) works on the ips of sites. cached sites would have the ip of google.

    doom3 and ut2003? why spend a lot of money for a pc just for playing games? buy a ps2. that's cheaper and it's made just for that! and if gentoo is a pain for your pIII, use something else.

    i think the *speed* of the cpu is not really important anymore... performance is a lot more useful definition of the overall cpu power.

    following the recent state-wide ban on cellphone use while driving.

    talking on a cell phone while you drive is already banned in italy. and i think it's ok. it just distracts people from driving well and causes chrashes. (is this a troll post?)
