But that's an alpha - it IS likely to have shit performance... I'm guessing that you ARE relating that to what would be the final performance, if not, disregard the rest of this post:).
This is one of the reasons I expect that companies don't like alphas/betas leaked - they are pretty crap in many areas usually, as they have not been fully optimised etc, and end up giving the wrong impression to people who tried them/had friends who tried them.
Of course, I didn't get the alpha... 1) I don't use warez (and that's essentially what it is). 2) I would have fun playing it on my PII 400;). 3) You expect me to grab it over 56k?:D
When I was last using Freenet, the "directories" had links to everything - on some of the less-favourable entries one of the editors had put their personal stance that it made them feel sick, but they still linked to it.
Yeah, after looking 201-500 seat licences are $4000 (USD);) - a bit much. I just have a copy for when I use Windows (in Slack most of the time) and one licence wasn't that bad...
adware and/or zonealarm. Neither one can't prevent spyware, adware just removes it after being installed (try running it on all computers), and zonealarm is bugging users and preventing connection, and doing exactly what I said I don't wan't
Actually Ad-Aware Plus and Pro come with Ad-Watch, a utility which sits there monitoring for adware being installed and prompts if it is.
I'm probably talking complete and utter balls...but...
This reference of.NET refers to the ".NET bytecode" or whatever it's called, which.NET programmes are compiled into, which allows easy compatibility between different.NET languages and platforms.
Again, I'm probably talking out of my arse, though...
Games are usually translated into French and German, and console games obviously have to be converted to PAL. The English versions are still American English, though. There's also, I assume, a small delay in the UK for the BBFC to classify them, if requred, but I don't know if that amounts to anything.
You're saying that Europe was only connected to the Internet in the late '90s? I know that this account (on Demon) has been active since before 1995 (I think it was started in 1994, but I could be wrong), which is definitely before the "Internet Boom".
...pinch of salt. He has recently written both that Ogg Vorbis isn't yet good enough to be used for encoding music, and that the English Al-Jazeera site is running IIS on Linux. Those, and other small things, make me read through things he writes carefully.
The source for the exploit is open. Hence open source. Open source != always GPL.

What, refering to your head?
Sorry, I won't do it again, promise!
pah, my dad still uses a PII 266 as his main machine, 200mhz isn't that slow ;). Hell, my e-mail/web filtering/whatever server is only a P Pro 200 :P
He said nearly 10 years - and goes on to say it was Office 95/Win 95.
I use an LJ IID - the damn thing is probably older than me ;)

:/.
And that made no sense
Lycoris is the artist formerly known as Redmond Linux - just a small correction :). They do seem to be doing pretty much the same as LindowsOS though.
May I point you to giFT-FastTrack?
Bear in mind that MSN uses inktomi, a pay-for-inclusion search engine. /offtopic

Borders?
...'cept Apache is...erm... Apache, Mozilla is mozilla.org, OOo is based on Staroffice which is Sun and X Window is (usually) XFree86?
Size doesn't matter :|
Obvious gag out of the way, I agree. Things are getting too small.

Except for the fact that Datel is a UK-based company...
Huh? I never willingly use imperial, and almost never have to. The only thing that I know of that uses imperial is road measurements.
"Making your own Willy Wanka receipts"
;)
Was that intentional?

How about GNU Opensource And Trusted System Environment?
:/
Sorry
Can you get a pirate copy off KazARRR?

*ahem*
Sorry
Isn't it Exa?
