    Hi,

My biggest bugbear is simply keeping a system clean. When will Microsoft have the ability to completely clean/eradicate old software when my users ask for its deletion. Remove Programs is exactly that... it is not Remove Programs But Leave Folders Files and 600 Other Piles Of Cruft Lying Around To Clag Everything Up.

It is agitating having to blow peoples disks away every year or two just to get the registry/windows system/task manager/program files/My Documents, etc to a pared-back size.

Surely MS must be able to recognise every file and entry added as part of an install and subsequently remove it....

When will our governments, and consumers, realise that regionalisation is nothing more than a mechanism of creating continental price disparity and deliberate market manipulation? It has nothing to do with "costs" but maximising profits by restricting parallel imports. It does nothing for quality, or support....

Consumers should respond by simply not buying anything which is deliberately designed to support a cartel. They are only ripping themselves off (The Matrix: US $9.95... Aust $19.48)

Combined with DRM, how many months will we wait after the release of a fully DRM'ed Vista with hardware support before a company threatens its users with an OFF switch unless they pay their $2 per month DVD hardware "licencing" fee, or your CPU/RAM/HDD monthly "licencing" fee?

    Refuse to pay? OFF.

    Azmieth is absolutely right.

What I am reading here in this entire discussion is outright racism, pure and simple. Indian education is no worse than any other system in any other country, and claiming the US system is "superior" is simply rubbish.

Why is it rubbish? Because if there wasn't parity with quality, ragrdless of price, then US companies wouldn't be outsourcing its people... or are all here saying US companies are OK with receiving crap? (be careful here, because if this is your answer it means "you" must have been the most tollerable crap for the "old" price...)

As for price, isn't this the determinate of a strong competitive economy? Competitive... for an industry that is barely 15 years old... think about how dynamic this is!!!

Think of every industry.. cars, manufacturing, the very computer you are using, the shoes you are wearing... this competition keeps the costs down, but I'd bet you didn't buy locally made shoes...
