Aw h3ll, can't you cut a person some slack for making an honest recommendation even though its an affiliate link? So what if he mostly pimps his website, its some funny shiat.
BTW, I put PestPatrol on every one of my relatives computers cause I was frickin sick and tired of cleaning up their messes. I've managed to get all but one of them trained to run it weekly and even update it. Grandma doesn't get it, but I cut her some slack cause she always has some sort of homemade treat for me to take home when I make a cleanup run to her place...nothing like homemade chocolate chip cookies:)
Tinker away with aftermarket parts if you dare

Wouldn't advise it if your vehicle is still under warranty; its a sure bet you WILL void your warranty. Screw it up with aftermarket crap and then come back to the dealer and try to get it fixed under warranty; the service manager will politely tell you that you will have to pay for the repairs (then he/she is gonna be laughing about you later with the service advisors and/or mechanics...trust me, I work in a dealership and have seen it happen).
Parts departments love tinkerers who screw things up and then try to fix it themselves. Some serious jack can be made from one know-it-all who keeps messing up one thing after another because his aftermarket chip or part started a chain reaction. It just means a little more money in the gross profit (and for employees a little more money in their pockets each month to pay the bills).
If you really have to tinker...don't buy aftermarket performance parts; buy the manufacturers performance parts. You are assured of quality and a warranty on the part. Plus, some struggling dealership parts clerk will get to pay his/her heat bill this winter.
How many independents and shade-tree mechanics are really going to understand what those diagnostic codes mean? It really doesn't matter if the codes are released; they'll still end up coming to the dealers for many reasons, most because having the codes didn't help them fix the problem. Certain parts are still only available through the dealers - air bags, ECMs, BCMs, etc.
Frankly, I see this as a double edged sword for dealers. On the one hand they'll lose business to the independents, but on the other hand if the indpendents screw up the owners will end up coming back to the dealers. And they still have to come to dealers for certain parts; which is fine by me because it means more money in my pocket every month. (yes, I work for a dealer, but we're not too concerned about the code release).
And your wife's welfare depends upon you bending your principles to download a song? If she wants it that bad, scour the local second hand music stores and buy the cd there; the money from second hand sales doesn't get reported.
My husband is my partner, and I wouldn't expect him to bend his principles for my wants. I respect him and wouldn't dare expect him to bend his principles unless it is a life or death situation.
Look at all the things that happened once WOTC was sold to Hasbro. There have been constant layoffs ever since the buyout. The Origins convention management went back to a previous company, Gen Con is leaving Milwaukee for Indianapolis next year. Recently, Gen Con was sold off to Peter Adkinson, the former head of WOTC. There were rumors of all sorts of doom and gloom at the last Gen Con I went to (speaking of which really lacks in the organization department, its always chaos as far as registration, etc.)
I think I got out of M:tG and D&D just in time; bummer is that I'm stuck with 14K of cards and a couple D&D manuals that I will have to sell off on ebay for a pittance compared to what I could have gotten two years ago.
Well, lets see here. The orginal is too campy and corny for my tastes, but the movies were semi-decent entertainment. TNG was good from about the second season on. DS9 was the same as TNG. Voyager-- well, that crew could stay lost in space for all I care; of all the series this one was the worst. Enterprise -- well, what little I've seen leads me to believe this one could run another season or two, but they need to brush up on ST history before they clash with any more of the "history".
But in reality, it all boils down to the fact that there are no new plots and everything is a re-hash. You have to judge shows on how good or bad and how believable the actors are.
See what she wants after you propose to her. Tell her what you can afford and stick to your guns. If she's gonna be greedy, its s sign she'll be that way for everything and you'll always be broke.
BTW, when my husband proposed he didn't have the ring in hand. In fact, when we went to look at rings I chose the smallest one I could get (1/5 carat) and I rarely wear mine because I prefer to just wear my 10K $30 gold band. Not all women are materialistic.

Ummmmm...I think someone needs to catch the clue train. The story is a spoof..a parody...total fiction.
