with metered internet caps, the speedup must be removing a lot of cruft from pages- thereby reducing the usage-- maybe not as much as say netflix's reductions but certainly enough to be useful for low limit cell data plans...
something that shaves a tenth the time must shave at least half that in bytes....
in my life I've authored webpages using wysiwyg editors that had an enormous amount of cruft.
my ringtone's primary function is to wake me up or get my attention..
my kids crying would do a great job.. the only problem I really perceive is I might be standing in his bedroom half asleep consoling him over my shoulder while my cellphone carries on on the nightstand...
create a single molecule the size of your balloon, last stage of assembly, remove the gas molecules within. (kinda like the pupeteer space ships, a single molecule of very large proportions.) so long as it's strong enough to withstand the crushing force of the vacuum Hell, use that really strong material known as aerogel.. either way, have the gap space be a vacuum
it would lift a hell of a lot more than hydrogen....
absent notices & contracts to the contrary, cash must be accepted.
cash is NOT required to be accepted for debts in the US, if the exlusion had been specified before the debt situation exists.
when clearly posted notices are available (such as at some gas stations or hotels) or given as part of a signed business contract between an individual and a company or between two companies, cash can be rejected.
if a linux computer can be packed into a unit the size of an overlarge usb key
the same functionality can be flashed into a bluray player or tv to change the standard/interface/codec/whatever is required.
New IP stack? New Codec? New flash based website with it's own API? these can all be written into an amazingly small bit of flash that can reside inside any disc player or television.
will the makers WANT to write such firmware on a per model basis? that's the real question... they'd much rather sell you a new tv then write software for a sale that already closed at best buy 6 months ago.

Visa international (the folks at visa.com) could easily work into their merchant contracts language forbidding such transactions they could then generate card numbers to accounts that don't exist but would processes they could then order things advertised via spam from honeypots setup they could then shut down the individual merchant, or processor, based on history
they can be found.
In fact, individual merchants can have their account discount rate change if they have a spate of chargebacks outside the norm (or at the whim it would seem, of their processor)
I only know the specifics of three electronic lock systems... and all three that I know? only key swiping.. not closings or how long a door was open. they can't even tell if the door was actually opened-- they can only tell that a key was used
as in, if I flash my key and the lock goes green but I don't open the door? it records the key use but doesn't know I didn't open it. if the master metal override key is used is also recorded (and even triggering that event in the memory) wouldn't require the door to be opened (although it would be noticeable)
anyone know of a lock system that does all they suggest?

taking another unredeemable swing at him at this later date? serves the same purpose as the electric chair-- a warning to others......
Lets use another example entirely- considering what happened to the poor carpenter from Nazareth, would you consider claiming to be him?
A jury convicted Childs in April 2010 of a computer tampering-related charge, and today San Francisco Superior Court Judge Teri Jackson ordered him to pay $1,485,791 in restitution to the Department of Technology,"
he's paying it to the department of technology, not justice.. so... no...
in high school, you find out about the womens rights topless parade.
and you go.. once.. then discover the disturbing truth about 98% of the women willing to march topless.

what they did can be interpreted differently by different people.
here's my experience
1- I had streaming only before the price changes
2- nothing changed for me after the price changes

Some big internet guy was recently suggesting such a solution.. I read about it on this webforum for nerds, stuff that matters
I believe that is what gdgt.com tries to address...
