    I wouldn't say "completely support" peta... Even a broken clock is right twice a day. But the nude hippies are nicer looking than a broken clock!

    SO we have totalitarian actions happening at all levels of government from the city to the country. Is anyone really surprised?

    Lots of people are surprised. That is a good things because they are now starting to pay attention, and might even start to vote on actual issues.

    You are looking at it wrong. This has been going on for decades. Only now it is starting to come out in public, and the average person is finding out. They are NOT happy. You should be happy that the sleeping bear is waking up. A few more flips of voting idiots out of office might actually start to change things.

    Not if the are payed for by the carrier and free to everyone on that carrier. Hard to steal it when it is already there, and harder to steal it when it won't run on your branch of the Android tree.

    What would you consider misuse of a country TLD? Domains are administrative boundaries. If you're ok with using a domain that is governed by the rules of a company or government in a foreign country, and you abide by their rules, then what is wrong with that?

    Since I live in the US, not only am I OK with it, I see it as a significant benefit!

    We used namecheap for quite a while, and AWS for hosting. Just recently, we have grown to the point that safenames made a lot more sense, and still with AWS for hosting. We run our own mail, and are considering running our own dns on and internal sever, and an AWS slice for redundancy.

    OK. I don't sell Internet service, I sell Internet ACCESS via my limited, filtered and propitiatory method; IPv4 and NAT. You can't force people to move to something they do not think they need, that easily.

    Or, a bunch of overworked networked admins that don't want to start a big project for a problem they are not feeling yet... Switching over my office would take a lot of time I do not have for absolutely no payoff. And my 10-12 hour days are full already.

    At any rate, replacements can be hired or brought in through acquisition; no engineer or manager is indispensable.

    They do occasionally go out and found competing companies, however. Some quite good... Occasionally they even get bought by the company they walked from in the first place.
