As a software developer, I know that software/algorithm creation is as much an art as stringing together notes to create melody, harmony and rhythm. Some software is also artistic in its final form, however all software is art in its algorithmic creation.

If a mistake is made, the card must be certified destroyed by the voter, and two poll workers(shredding comes to mind), and a new card is issued. If the voter desires, the pieces of the destroyed card may be kept.
