    And this is where programmers need to educate management. You don't expect your mechanic to use a screwdriver to remove your tires for changing, or a torque wrench to change your spark plugs... We as programmers should be able to select the appropriate tool for the job as well....

    Well, Regardless of typing issues shouldn't your coding convention distinguish strings from numbers...

    And flame me if you must, but Microsoft's hungarian notation is fairly good at that.

    Sony Doesn't exactly have a reputation for making good/bad/indifferent PC CD/DVD drives... the others do...

    And I'm not paying a surcharge for the Sony name... and nothing else.. I've used Lite-on, pioneer, et al... Never Sony... Just MHO...

    Well, try going to Bestbuy.com Then you can select from memorex, plextor,pioneer or lite-on at the $200 range.. and those are the name brands for CD/DVD RW drives..
