Despite this, this vulnerability still poses a great risk to any iOS device prior to version 10, as it is does not require any user interaction or configuration of any sort on the targeted device, and can be leveraged by an attacker to gain remote code execution in a very high privileged context (the Bluetooth process).

  21. This is exactly why truecrypt (or similar) unstructured volumes should be used-- they provide deniability that there is even a volume present on a given device since the "data" appears to be just a bunch of random bytes.
