    You're probably right, though. Same think happened to that diet pill "AYDS" when GRID (gay-related immune deficiency) was renamed AIDS to reflect its larger affected population.

    Adware is the name of a company in Louisville Kentucky who does a good job providing accounting services to the advertising and public relations industry

    Can we use "scum-ware" instead? I've worked with the guys at Adware the company and they're nice people.

    Sadly, real copy protection would probably be followed by legislation (via MS-Congress) making it illegal to distribute hardware or software that didn't include the DRM.

    Sound far-fetched? Try buying an HDTV tuner card to build a Myth-TV box after the middle of next year that will ignore the broadcast flag.

    Over 18 years, I've cleaned up behind enough "good enough" installs to know that you can always do the job right. It's your job not only to run the systems but to educate the business about what the right solution is. If you don't push back when you get an absurd request you're just filling a chair.

    If you don't have time to do it right the first time, when are you going to have time to do it over?

    If you're in charge of systems, you have a responsibility to do things right. "Good enough" ends up being "f*cking expensive" to maintain and upgrade two years down the road.

    Delegates are "common citizens" about as often as I get my back-hair waxed.

    The majority of delegates are politicos or relatives of politicos. Given that they're participating in the selection of the guy who will run 1/3 of the government of 300 million people, I think it's OK for some basic info to be available.
