I've noticed a new blog and twitter meme of people publicly rage quitting.NET. Most of it seems to surround the fact that MS will create their own subpar implimentation of a popular.NET open source project instead of putting their weight behind it (Creating Entity Framework instead of support NHibernate, Creating ASP.NET MVC instead of supporting Rails on Iron Ruby, creating Razor instead of supporting Spark).
I can still play the copy of Bionic Commando I bought for my C64 20 some years ago, but the ability for me to legally play the copy of Bionic Commando Rearmed I bought two years ago is in jeopardy since the company folded and the software needs to phone home on install. They never released a patch to clear the DRM.
If a clearing of DRM on "dissolution" is not in the software license, then don't expect their to be one.
I'm fairly experienced with unit testing, and I've read several books on the subject. This is by far the best introduction to unit testing I have read. The book, in very practical terms, explains in 300 pages that which took me about five years to learn the hard way. I think this book also has a lot of value for unit testers that got their start a decade or more ago but haven't kept up with recent trends.
Speak for yourself. Twitter saves me a ton of time everyday. I use it mostly for professional networking (I'm a programmer). I follow a couple hundred other programmers. Instead of me surfing the web an hour so a day to keep my finger on the pulse of the programming world, the information comes to me in my twitter stream. It's much better than looking for content or subscribing to RSS feeds.
The last XBox live update addressed a performance issue with some "installed" games. It still checked the disc often for DRM reasons, slowing everything down. You may want to uninstall / reinstall and see if anything changes. It may or may not.
I hope they get it sorted out, but frankly the poor quality selection of games for it has taken some of the shine off the app, especially without basic.
C64GS was a totally different type of market (just a console). The poster may be thinking of that, or the C64C, which was the regular C64 in a redesigned casing that looked closer to the C128.
Sorry... "I think there are plausible reasons as to why non-MNU scientists are involved in research." should be: "I think there are plausible reasons as to why no non-MNU scientists are involved in research."
This movie intentionally leaves a lot of the plot for the viewer to fill in. I don't think things that aren't explained can really be called plot holes.
The movie hints that they did try some sort of cultural integration at first but it went horribly wrong due to the instinctual behavior of 99% of the aliens. Also, I think there are plausible reasons as to why non-MNU scientists are involved in research. One I can think of offhand is maybe they were granted exclusive scientific rights when they took charge of overseeing the prawns.
I can't speak for its current state since I don't play anymore, but AC was very solo friendly. There were tons of quests and dungeons that were doable without a party.
By the past, you mean one month ago.

I'm not a 100% sure if it will help you or it applies to 10.04, but you might want to try this: http://mynerditorium.blogspot.com/2009/11/having-ubuntu-910-wifi-problems.html
The contiki web server for the C64 can only do one request at a time.
Agreed. Ubuntu prompts me to update every week or so it seems.
So.... It's time for text adventures / IF to come back?

Many popular iPhone games use Mono to some degree because of the Unity 3D engine. http://unity3d.com/company/news/unity-iphone-momentum-press.html
So all these guys who aren't looking at a couple hundred one-liners every day are clearly amateurs.
No. I said it was a time saver for me. I didn't say anything about anyone else.

GEOS runs on most C64 emus so I'd have to guess yes. However, you can only execute the disk images that are available in the appstore. LAME.

Hey... MNU = Haliburton, remember?? They are in control of the World's governments ;) ;)... I jest.

SPOILER!!!
It's probably related to the crashed alien spacecraft in the original FO3 content.
I wonder if this is now a trend. GOG and now Lucasarts are putting abandonware titles back on the market.
RIP Herc.
