I have no idea what the launch was like for Final Fantasy XI (being in Japan and all) but I agree. Being the best is rough. We have SCHEDULED downtimes and very few other outages. Altogether a very enjoyable experience.
How is that viable? If you know you have a worm it's better to disable the network connection on your PC. Why disturb other devices on your network because of one infected device?
Turning off bluetooth is a good idea if you know you're not gonna use it. Mod grandparent up.
Halo doesn't properly instruct future supersoldiers Half-Life shows an unrealistic picture of the profession of a physics Ph.D. Battlefield 1942 misrepresents the look and feel of Wake Island

It's a good thing you didn't quote a Van Halen song then. That was a cover.
By the way, if you've never heard of Hibernate...

I really wish the story submitter would have taken a moment and put a one or two sentence explanation of what Hibernate is. It's not exactly a descriptive name, which I'll concede is common in our industry.
Hibernate is an API for Java that uses Java Beans (get() and set() methods for all properties) to create, read, update and delete rows from a database. It's really cool. It's sometimes called JDO (Java Data Objects) but it's a dangerous association because of the Sun Reference Implementation of JDO, which is its own specification. Hibernate is different.
I've learned to blame nobody for the silly versioning Sun does for Java. Java 2 is a pretty strange moniker for a language platform with version numbers in the 1.5 range, and then calling 1.5 JDK 5.0 is just darnright batty.
But hey, we get autoboxing! See ya later longValue()!

I'm kinda glad that games cant detect that, actually. If they could, my Afterburner would screw up the colors.
Play-yan will run on the GBA SP, but it won't be compliant with the standard GBA.
It's compliant with the DS and the SP. It's not compliant with the regular GBA.
Any GBA junkies out there have any idea why this would only work on the SP? What's the difference in hardware between it and the regular GBA?
Sphinx is a great project. I definitely recommend it.
- No annoying people at arcades and no lines
- More song choices (especially with Stepmania and other simulators)
- Broken pads are your responsibility, not some arcade manager who's too worried about his bottom line
- No more quarters!
The list goes on. If you love DDR, play it at home!Halo doesn't properly instruct future supersoldiers

I could go on.
Well, I've bascially been playing slashdot that way for years now. I hear the last boss is a pisser.
All I know is that I want nothing -- nothing -- to do with any of the red states.
Way to not be willfully ignorant.

You mean like JAXP and JAXB?
I've never seen so many grammatical errors. You win.
Hping3 vs. Nmap, the names say it all. I think the victor is quite clear.
It doesn't offend me.
It doesn't make me laugh.
It just wasted some of my time.
Your post made me feel the same way.

That's the basic idea, right? For Linux at least.
