Note that all of those cards listed have 64 MB of VRAM. It says right there that only the PBs, PMs and iMacs support it. Though I don't remember where I read it first, I recall it as being a problem with the VRAM. In either case, Core Image is only supported by graphics cards that have 64 MB of VRAM or more. No graphics cards with 32 MB of VRAM are supported. Current iBooks and eMacs will not support Core Image, as they have Radeon 9200s with 32 MB of VRAM.

Apple Announces New iBooks
·
· Score: 2, Informative
The new iBooks have 802.11g built in. The additional VRAM will be important with Tiger, as Core Image only works with 64 or more, which you don't get on the iBooks. The iBooks supposedly take more abuse than the PBs. Just some points that you should also consider.
Tabs suck for IM. It's good for things like web pages, when you generally keep your attention on one item at a time, but for IM you don't know who'll message next and it's easier to switch between windows and tabs. What do you have F10 for? I keep my Adium chats in windows. iChat is pretty, but kinda bloated. I really only use it for file transfers.
You add it when you order it. "Apple's internal Bluetooth module fits completely inside the computer so there's nothing that sticks out or can break off and it's easy to secure. This module allows you to connect your iBook with Bluetooth-enabled peripheral devices, such as mobile phones and PDAs wirelessly. Synchronize data or send files without using an inch of cable."
Note that it's not user-installable, so if you don't get it installed when you order the iBook you have to use a USB dongle.
Eh? Wi-Fi is plenty outbuilt. Many train stations even have wireless networks, so you can just check your email when the train stops. You can also find insecure networks if you need that. I did this with my iBook riding the Shinkansen from Tokyo to some small town you've never heard of. No Apple laptops now come with IR either, though all PBs have BT built-in and iBooks can have it factory-installed cheaply. I agree with the OT; this PDA has some issues.
Well, my Exilim Z40 (I think) lets me take over 300 pictures without changing. The Z50 supposedly has even better capacity according to the ads. I only have a 128 MB SD card, so 300 is plenty for me, even when I delete a lot. NiMH doesn't give as good battery time in my experience, at least when you only have 2. And even 2 AAs is much bigger than the Li-Ion in my camera.
Moving the dock to the right side means it gets in the way of the scroll bar in a full-screen window when auto-hiding. I also more often have something I need to click on the left side of the screen than on the bottom. Furthermore, the dock gets small and the icons more difficult to look at. The bottom of the screen is easily the best place to have it. I make it auto-hide too.
I think the US would not succeed in a land war in North Korea. A major reason they have so many poor is that military spending is so high; 33.9% of GDP. This is over 10 times as much as the US. Of course, considering their GDP is about 1000th of what the US GDP, this may not seem like a huge amount. But it still remains a fact that North Korea has the fourth largest army in the world, with 1.2 million men. The US has 1.4 million. They have a bit of outdated equipment, but they have plenty of fully-working tanks, artillery and APCs. You think the US stands a chance in a land war? You already lost to them once.
But the real question is, why would the US want to invade North Korea? They are showing signs of accepting a free market economy -- some areas have been designated as special free market zones, and this may spread throughout the rest of the country. Sure, they're far behind, but they can drag themselves out of this mess.
Yeah? I saw a web site where a guy was travelling around taking pictures. Can't find it now, sorry. But anyway, they went to a school and found a big computer lab. All the machines were running Windows, by the way. English versions.
Another reason might be that, er, it didn't seem to actually do anything. I rented a few CDs (yes, they do that in Japan) with the RIAJ label (no CD label), so I'm assuming these were the copy-protected CDs, since they had a sign about copy protection near the CD racks. I had no problems ripping these on my iBook, and even my host brother could rip them with WMP on his Windws machine. I wonder what the copy protection was supposed to do?
You're right, guess I would have to do with a 2400+. Hm, well, the computer works well enough, and it should run Doom III (I haven't had the oppurtunity to test this yet), and upgrading for the sake of upgrading is kind of lame. I guess I'll wait another year and then look at a new set of CPU/RAM/mobo at a higher FSB. For now I guess I'll just buy a Nintendo DS.
On my Windows PC I still have an Athlon XP 1600+ I bought in late 2001. I don't have a big budget, but I'd like to make some upgrades; go from 512 MB of RAM to 1 GB, add a 200 GB HDD, DVD burner, little by little. Of course, I have a Socket A motherboard (ASUS AV266-E) and I'm interested in upgrading the CPU without replacing the mobo. Is the upgrade from a 1600+ to a 2500+ worth the extra money, or should I wait and get a new motherboard with an Athlon 64 when I have the money? I'm sure I'm not the only one with an early Socket A CPU wanting to upgrade.
There are quite a bit of 2 MP phones here in Japan. Many even have auto-focus instead of the crappy fixed focus that most phones have. Still, I got a digital camera, because those phone cameras still suck.
Don't know if eDonkey does that now, but it never did when I used it. Being connected to a good server really doesn't matter much as long as you use eMule; you'll get your sources from the peers you're already connected to through source exchange.
Finding files can be annoying, yeah. Mostly I, and most eMule users for that matter, just use ed2k link sites, and forums. For anime, you can get nearly any fansub ever released on AniDB. For a while, ShareReactor was the ed2k link site, but they were finally taken down. On this page you can find some great sites that still work today.. You can still use archive.org to access the huge library of ed2k that was on SR, a total of 2243 releases at the time of the last crawl. One release is counted as one full item; one movie, one game, one season of a TV series is one count. So it's a whole shitload of files, no mistaking that.
Hey, I'm not American either. In my country it's legal to download music; that's held up in court, too. So I can download from my Russian neighbors. Of course, I can just as well download from someone who doesn't have any rights to distribute.
FAQ with some information. It has quotes from a representative of ROMS, which holds the rights in Russia, from allofmp3 representavies, and some law student saying it's legal. The RIAA doesn't like it, but it seems it is. In any case, I believe that in no countries there are laws against buying, receiving or downloading copyrighted material, only selling, giving out or uploading. This would make any user of allofmp3 an innocent infringer if allofmp3 were illegal, which in Russia it's not. Whether it's illegal for allofmp3 to sell music to countries where the ROMS has no authority is something I'm not so certain of, but I believe they're clear.
$300 instead of $185? Cheaper? Remember, the $250 price is with a monitor.

The PB has 64 MB of VRAM, which is needed for Core Image, a new fancy thingie that Tiger (OS X 10.4) is supposed to have.
In OS X, an application is not allowed to steal focus like that, so that's a non-issue anyway.

This is as offtopic as your comment, but when I read your sig I was thinking "What? Vote Nazi?" That's a horrible name for a presidential candidate.

Then why do the games look like crap?
Windows does not come with MPEG2 support.

What? Doesn't anything plugged into a power outlet draw a small amount of power anyway?

My last TV lasted 13 years, finally broke down last year. How long does a graphics card last you?

I should have previewed. Here's the FAQ.
