We do have a pretty strong Data Protection Act, meaning we can see any data on us which isnt being protected due to "national security", or part of a current investigation by the police.
Also Requires that the company involved(government) ensures that all data is correct and accurate, and only people who have a need to this data (and in most cases authorised to do so by us) can access it!
Track it against orders.. so reviews can only be submitted if a purchase has been made for that book, or is somehow related...
adds a fincancial aspect..
Doesnt help against authors tho i suppose, as they can buy the book, and gain more money from selling more copies as a result of their "review"
Knoppix-STD perhaps? (for the security part), thought not something you can just put in and let it scan, so a simpler version you could distribute to all family+friends to check their network would rock:)

Im suprised he made it to a sequel after so heavily overdosing on painkillers:)
The original RTCW was actualyl developed by two different "teams" responsible for Single Player and Multi Player - I beleive the same was true for RTCW:ET which got cancelled a few months back due to problems with SP (I beleive it had something to do with the AI they were planning to implement). Again they were working in two different teams (hence the differences between MP and SP) and when ET goit canned it was decided to continue with MP developlment -- which was preety much alpha at the time
"1. The use of automated calling systems without human intervention (automatic calling machines), "
Even simply clicking "forward" would be human intervention so there shouldn't be any problems like this..
Hmmm, interesting how the oil gets mentioned, wouldnt put it above some corporations to use war as an excuse to up prices!
They've been stockpiling for years and this war isnt about oil.. is it?
Yup, def the more informative show.
I watched an episode a while back on something to do with Space/Multiuniverses prob ~ 5 months ago - rarely realise somethings on tv till afters its been on but afaik its still on now (maybe a break for xmas:) )
If Microsoft cared so much wouldnt a system like we have in the UK with Gas Meters work better? Or with animals we look after from the RSPCA.
I mean, if rather than selling them to us, we rented them from Microsoft they could easily enforce - and proescute? (i think) a no - mod chip law, and id guess that those people who would not "purchase" an Xbox marketed liek this would in 80% of the cases be the very people Microsoft are trying to keep out!
Either that or itll be a longer trip to whatever cinemas the powers decide are worth upgrading to be able to play new movies with the necessary technology!

Not that bad really, it's an article describing how/what happened because of it, not saying that this has happened!
ID Software have for a while too for Enemy Territory etc. here

Pancakes tend to be larger over here then id assume, as normally they're too big and would just torn by a spatula!
Can everyone afford the cost of upgrading OS AND Office Software? Why not release a lite version for newers os's?
