Ok.. I have a question.. what makes this post so bad? I really don't see why this was rated a troll post. At worst it is a joke that nobody finds funny... much like some of the mods here... but still, not a troll.

If you say one thing the mods here don't like, they do to you what Bush does to Kerry.

A friend had a great idea while I was out of the room for a moment. He decided he could make the Atari 800 computer work faster and better by moving around the ROM boards.... the computer never worked again...

Another day... he thought if he plugged the AC adaptor from the Atari 2600 into the headset outlet on the TV it would make it louder... and it did for that nice POP sound you can only get when you fry something... the TV never had sound again through either the built in speakers or headset...

I wont even tell you what he did with AV cables, TV, and a video game console to cause a small fire... to this day I still don't know how he did it.....

He managed to fry the AC adaptor on every printer in the computer lab.. I was very angry as this was the only lab out of 5 that had Apple computers.

oh god!!! and what he did to that Macintosh LC!! That new LC!!! I want to cry.......

Does this mean they will start to put region codes on vinyl LPs? How would you deal with the portable 45 player?

do a print head cleaning through the software. you will need to do this around 10 times. May take up to 20. I have had the same issue. This happens when you dont use the printer enough. You can also try to clean the head with some sort of rag with slight damp of water. Make sure it not the kind that will leave little bits of fabric on the printhead.

nice troll??? what about my post makes it a "troll"?? I have stated a fact that most refills are junk and this is the method of quality control Lexmark uses. Do you think it fair that they sell the printer below cost just to have someone who is cheap send it back when they damage it with cheap ink so that Lexmark can lose even more money on it? The cost of ink really has not changed much over the last 10 years. We still have the same cost per page. There is no monopoly here. If you don't like Lexmark, buy Canon printers and use their ink. You still have a choice. Your idea of a monopoly is cartoonish. Slow down on the sugar. I think you need a time out. Maybe then you can understand.

  9. I agree with Lexmark on Lexmark DMCA Case Winds On · · Score: 0, Troll

I view this as a type of after the sale quality control. Some of that 3rd party ink is total crap and can actually damage your printer. I say play it safe and buy the factory recommended ink. Remember, sometimes you do get what you pay for. If you want the lowest cost per page as well as best quality print, buy a high end Canon printer. If you want to throw away money on ink, buy anything HP as they cost more per page than Lexmark.

I would tend to agree with you... but... I have bought over the past couple of years two VCRs. One was a $800 Victor/JVC SVHS, the other was a $130 Sharp HI-FI VHS. The Victor/JVC bar fay is the better of the two with the quality and stunning features.... but... I have had to fix that thing four times and again it is not working. I gave up on it. The $130 Sharp is still working and working very well. I will never buy another Victor/JVC product again. I have had great luck with Sharp.... In fact.. I have never had anything made by sharp give me a spot of trouble. This is great if you consider they tend to be one of "the cheap brands" My point is dont judge by price too much. Yes, a $500 VCR will be better than a $50 VCR, but will it last any longer than a $150 - $200 VCR? I dont think so.
