It doesn't happen often, but it's annoying when it does. Though one time about a year and a half ago, late at night, one guy was coming around the corner from pets, avoiding all registers, cart full of several bags of dog food. He refused to show a receipt, so..I basically followed him out of the store (a big nono) asking and then demanding to see it. Then grabbing his cart as he pushed it in the snow and avoiding him trying to trip me as he kept pushing. (a huuuuge nono)
Of course, I didn't tell management about that one. I didn't even know the law about such things then. They really don't train you much on receipt checking stuff.
And yes, my job still sucks. I want to get back into *something* involving computers. Anything! (note: cash register doesn't count):>
I actually work as one of those greeters (which isn't as easy as it sounds, most of the time), so I know the carts you speak of and the people who use them.
I've not once had a blind person driving one of those things. They're just motorized carts. They don't know where you want to go.
Hell, I don't trust some of the sighted people with driving those things! They'll forget how to stop (let go of the controls, it's not hard!) and end up hitting the wall, the door, merchandise, or you.
The blind people who DO enter are almost always accompanied by a friend who helps them through the store. (even when they have a service dog)
Is there a way to make it search other file types? I assumed that it would pick up all of my plain text files, but.log files (such as from mIRC) don't seem to be indexed at all.
Aside from renaming all of my.log files to.txt and having that interfere with the programs that created the files, is there an easier way of forcing Google Desktop to realize that.log = text?
I currently use Agent Ransack, but it's only a fancy version of the standard Windows search. It can only search consecutive keywords, not keywords mixed throughout a document. If Google Desktop can't do it, is there another program out there that can? Preferably free?
Does anyone know what the battery life on this thing will be? My TV/VCR remote hasn't needed a battery change in a couple years, and I doubt this thing will last nearly that long. So would I be going through bucketloads of batteries, or does it have a built-in rechargable one?
Ah, I just watched Strange Brew last night. It's actually on DVD now, finally. Those who haven't seen it, must.
100MHz is enough for everyone! Or at least for jcdr.
Yeah, that's me. Hi, Buran! :>

Perhaps, but it's far more amusing to imagine blind people on unguided motorized carts..

Everyone, please! When discussing intellectual property, STOP USING CAR ANALOGIES!
One word: telefrags

His captured stunt double, of course.
Haven't you heard? It's the new updated edition!
That's easy! Next on the list: Rubik's Hypercube.

100 watts?! Damn, my lightbulbs feel really hot to the touch! Anyone know where I can get heatsinks and fans for them?
