Are you sure? Something tells me that on the 1-10 scale, they average somewhere near male linux geeks. I mean, they're more likely to build the webserver for the porn site than feature on it.:)
"They're also taking a chomp out of grocery chain profits since I refuse to shop at a store that forces me to do their work for them. What's next, stores that make you stock their shelves?"
This would be funny if it weren't so damned likely.
You're my hero. You managed to bash AOL and bust out a good Star Wars reference.:)

Shuttle Launch Success

Apparently foam did break off the shuttle on launch today, twice, but during time windows that are unlikely to cause damage to the shuttle. I guess when they can determine that, it's reasonable to call it a successful launch.
I suppose we'll know for sure after they've landed safely though.
I've often noticed that products that address issues similar to ones address in MS software find themselves fighting an uphill battle. Take the suggestion in the original post... MS has an immediate competative advantage by leveraging a feature built into the OS that can ONLY benefit other MS products. We've seen the same thing happen in other markets too, of course. Not least of which was with IE.
People should know by now, when you go MS, you don't buy the horse, you buy the farm.
You wanna segment and pick and choose on the MS platform? Good luck.
If you consider it their error that they didn't provide a long list of job descriptions that comprise the field of I.T., I consider it your error that you ASSUME they mean a broader range of positions than they should.
What's more, it does say "U.S. tech hiring", not Canadian hiring, not global hiring. It specifically states that positions in the U.S. are steadily increasing, as are annual wages.
If you'd like a more precise definition of "technology workers" within the context of the study, I recommend you read a copy of The Association for Computing Machinery's study, and not bitch that a CNN summary didn't describe it in detail.
I'm in favor of destroying all the cats and using chimps for company... until they start to speak. When they start to say "no", we should irradicatte them.
Exactly. It can take alot of work to clean up after something like that.
How much disagreement can there possibly be about this article? If you're an asshat and break the law, you should do time and pay the fine. I mean, seriously, now we know why they fired him!
"...and always when I do a windows update (as there is always spyware added to any MS update, especially security updates)"
You are mistaken. Cosider looking for something that has slipped through your cleaning apps. Try running another clearner, like AdAware, to suplement the detection capabilities of SpyBot. Update and rerun your AV.
Point being, MS is not infecting your machine via updates, you must have something else.
Getting any/all of a machine's IP addresses is remarkably simple, and does not require a native call. Check out the System.Net namespace. Just thought you might want to know.:)

Sometimes I see detailed posts like yours and think to myself, "how did we get to a point where people have to know these procedures?"
Its really a shame.

For once I might be happy about a device that requires consumables. :)
Please consider this your formal notice...
I will be appropriating and beating the hell out of that joke everywhere on the internet.
Not to worry, I've secured the free world's tennis scores with my awesome dancing skills.
That, and my pet liger.
He was not one of my heros.
What's next - will Tony Stark release Iron Man's suit code under GPL?
Oh hell yeah.
Kidding aside, I'm just having a problem with the notion of equating terrorists with the heros I grew up loving.
Submit the article when you're done and the thing works, eh?
If i just wanted pointless pictures of the inside of an SNES, I'd open up mine.
Haha... point taken!

Oh but there is. Its imposed by the individual shopkeepers.
The way I figure at least these people will get a little education, better than not attending a university at all, so let Lakehead have its coffee.
Wait, but doesn't coffee cause cancer?!
Fact: You sound like a Public Service Announcement!
:)
Just teasin'

That's because NetBeans IS better. Lots better. :)
Either way, their comments section will be FILLED with anti-science trolls.
And hunters that can't afford to pass up a free gps unit and cellphone with no bill.
I saw that on Digg, it was a neat video. :)

Not to mention a "sly declaration of new classic status slipped into a bunch of safe ones- very pussy."
Seriously, dyne:bolic and Outfoxed are two of the top 10 Open Source projects?
Not PHP, not Ubuntu... a multimedia studio live CD and a documentary about how much people hate fox news? Vury Schneaky!
