Yeah, I'm sure a bunch of you won't go see LOTR on wednesday because you're so upset at the MPAA. Why even talk about it... people won't commit when it's actually something difficult. Oh yeah, and I'm sure everyone will start buying shitty, scratched copies of Star Wars on ebay instead of buying the $900 collectors set from thinkgeek. I'll hold my breath. I think the best you'll get is a couple of e-mail at two in the morning to people who never actually read emails.

These ridiculous pissing contests aren't getting anyone anywhere. You can take just about all of the things listed here and take them back a precise period of time to suit your ethnic pride in the form of some sort of contribution.

Every country... EVERYWHERE, has things to be proud of and things to be ashamed of. The truth is people are people... they do shitty things, and they do wonderful things, no matter what country they grow up in.

I agree with the others, in that the PalmOS is far from dead as it still has massive marketshare. That's where it stops. I've regularly found PalmOS to be frustratingly arcane... and agree that it's time for an old skool technology to die quietly. I'm no Microsoft fan... in fact I hate most everything of theirs, but if a product is superior and worth the money than screw everyone else. I'm not going to support an alternative just because it's an alternative. I have no sympathy for lame software.

All the features you need, with the greatest amount of warranty. Usually that $49 DVD player has the same 1 year warranty as the $500 Sony that won't last any longer and doesn't have all the same features. I'm not sure when we all got the impression that Sony was good hardware... it isn't (speaking from decades of experience). That way if it burns out just after a year... and it very probably will... you just buy another one. Score one for the landfills.

Despite what we learn in Jr. High/High School, you'll often find later in your educational careers that our founding fathers designed our political system to indeed be a money driven one. It is quite intentional. Why does everyone seem so shocked when we see this manifest itself today?
