According to Wikipedia, there are about 3 million active duty and reserve military personnel. If the "private company" does not make it a "priority" to make these games available to them, then they are as dumb as your post.
Hoarding the benefits of living in the USA? You say that like these benefits just naturally grow here. The benefits of living in the USA are there because people worked and fought to create and perpetuate these benefits. Giving them away to everyone is the best way to devalue them. If people from other countries want the same benefits, they should work for them the same way previous generations of Americans did. You seem awfully quick to give away things that you don't have the right to.
Your resume tells a prospective employer about you. An AOL address on your resume could tell the hiring manager that you are either slow to change or perhaps uncaring about what others think about you. Either way, that doesn't sound like someone you would want working for or with you. An AOL address is not the end of the world, but on a resume where you have a page or two to tell a prospective employer about you, why wouldn't you go out of your way to make a good impression?
Yes. We have an alternative system called voting. I recommend that you use it.
That's swell, if you want to wait until the next election to (hopefully) resolve the problem. Until then, what? Should the Kiwis just grab their ankles and smile?
The price of gold in USD is the exchange rate between USD and gold.
And the price of Twinkies in USD is the exchange rate between USD and Twinkies. That doesn't make Twinkies money. (Unless you're using "money" in the Swingers context: "Twinkies are so money, and they don't even know it!")
Don't get me wrong: I believe that the creation of fiat currency is one of the driving forces behind the decline of the US as the leading economic superpower. But wishing that gold was still money doesn't make it so.
So, by your statement, the people who don't like these shows are small-minded idiots and intelligent people? That's a pretty large portion of the population, as I see it.
Stop helping!
I agree that drunk driving definitely increases the risk of committing a violent crime (automobile accident). But I think that jailing people for having an increased risk of committing a crime is a slippery slope....
Drunk driving is a choice, a violent crime and it is also 100 percent preventable. that's ok. I agree with that.
Drunk driving is NOT a violent crime. Hitting someone or something with a car is a violent crime whether or not you are drunk while driving.
At least drunk drivers try to drive carefully. I believe that often people driving with cellphones are easily as impaired, but they don't have to be careful because they won't go to jail if they hit another car.
But the 15th Amendment refers to the voting as a "right".
"The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude." So the Constitution basically says that it is a right and it can be taken away, just not for the reasons listed.
Yes. In the "non-Civilized World ®", many of us feel that working hard and earning your health benefits is better than getting them just because your parents managed to successfully complete the biological act of reproduction. Many of us also feel that human beings like you who feel they are owed health benefits that are paid for by the hard work of others are not necessarily worthy of the title of "human being".
Meh is a pop culture reference. It denotes indifference and is often referred to as a "verbal shrug of the shoulders". But I think you know that and are being intentionally obtuse so you would have the opportunity to post a snotty reply. Which is an example of being a "tool". Let me know if the definition of "tool" in this context needs to be explained to you, or translated into a recognised language.
Health benefits come from being a human being? What an amazing sense of entitlement you have in the "Civilised World ®". You can keep the "Civilised World ®" in that case. Meh.

USD1150/month is not equal to USD1150/year? Next thing, you'll be trying to tell me that 0.02 dollars and 0.02 cents are different!

I must have forgotten the tags....
Slashdot Idle had this story 24 hours before the main page.....
Easy there, John Rocker! Just 'cause it's true doesn't mean you can say it out loud.....

Dude, $20 nine years ago is way way way more REAL money than $60 is now. Take a look here.
Gold is not REAL money. It hasn't been since 1933 (in the US). Gold is a commodity.

...Vista's new security features won't help much against it.Why is it that only malware writers can write software that is Vista compatible?
Here's a link with the price (US$2995).
What? Wearing jeans, Chuck Taylors, and a tshirt?

I thought that the surprising part of the post was the word "quietly". I guess they never heard of /.

Not all felons lose their constitutional right to vote.

It appears to vary from state to state.
Wow. With the exception of the last sentence, you are wrong in every section of your response.
Meh.
