Agree completely, this is a no-brainer. The trade value for most of the Android phones people are eager to trade in will most likely be older and not worth much at all. So give them a few dollars and sell them an expensive iPhone 6. There may be some sticker shock though if the people attempting to trade in their phones are not familiar with the cost of iPhones. Don't worry though, they can hang out at the Genius Bar while they get over the shock.

I've experienced this before where the round-trip flight was a fraction of the one-way, and I only needed a one-way trip. I did make the mistake of telling the ticketing agent at the airport that I didn't plan on using the return trip ticket and got the third-degree. So I learned my lesson to never mentioned it again. Of course now most everything is done online. Strange though they have such absurd pricing, especially if you're purchasing with little time in advance.

You'd sit in the middle of an open field and stare up at the sun till your eyeballs burst into flames! And you thought, "Oh, no! Maybe I shouldn't've stared directly into the burning sun with my eyes wide open." But it was too late! Your head was on fire and people were roastin' chickens over it. ... 8. Re:Wow on NY To Replace IT Vendors With State Workers · · Score: 0

Really depends on the type of contract work they are doing. Working for a company like CSC who manages contract and pays employee benefits, a W-2 contractor that works for what is basically a head-hunting company that provide no benefits or a 1099 contractor (essentially self-employed.) Having done all three I can say a skilled IT worker (W2 or 1099) in NYC should be getting no less than $60/hr. I realize the market has slowed down considerably since the heydays of the late 90's, but rates have rebounded the last few years. We had something similar happen at T Rowe Price where all the contractors were let go to save money. Most were charging over $100/hr.

Hell, the best GUI for all workstations at the time. We used to manage a few hundred of them along with Suns and Alphas. It's funny looking back that Sun survived and SGI and Alpha didn't. Alpha and SGI were like the BMWs and Mercedes of the workstations and servers, where Sun was like a used Ford. But SGI went to their WNT strategy and took a nosedive. Hard to compete with 2k workstations (at the time) with ones that cost over 10k.

Agree. It will take a while for dish/cable/consoles/etc. to offer 1080p on-demand to a vast majority of consumers. Saying Blu-Ray may have won the battle but overall lost the war is incorrect. HDTVs are selling at an exponentially higher rate during the last 12 months and will continue to do so. This bodes well for Blu-Ray. I'm guessing Blu-Ray will be around for the next 5 years or more. To quote Bill Gates (one of the few quotes I'd ever use of his) "We always overestimate the change that will occur in the next two years and underestimate the change that will occur in the next ten." Blu-Ray is here for the foreseeable future.

I can't see this case getting far unless Opera finds some anti-Microsoft Judges along the way.

I'm not so concerned about that, because I enjoy getting new lewts. My issue with the level cap being raised is that, as a relative latecomer to the game, I'll probably never get to see any of the level 60 raid content. I look at WoW as an interactive work of art. I don't understand how a company can put so much time and money into developing something, and then make changes that basically render all their previous work obsolete.

The level 60 raid content you missed out on was what many of us spent many months going through, like Naxx. So many nights raiding and when Outland came along that gear was basically worthless in just a few levels. The same will be true for raiders now when the next expansion comes out. I do agree that the old 60 raids are lost on newer players. When bored sometimes our guild will send a handful for 70 to clear the 60 raid instances for fun, but it's not the same. I imagine three 80s will be able to solo kara.

If you do spend a lot of time raiding now for T5/6 sets before the next expansion, you'll know what I mean when the are suddenly worthless with level 73 greens.

Agree the amount of time you spend for upgrades is quite a lot, but seems fair. I think Blizz is doing a good job of adding contents with expansions. My issue with the game is the gear you've worked so hard to attain over the past year is essentially worthless with each expansion. Level 63 greens in Outland comparable to level 60 T3 gear that took so so so much time to get. But that's my only real problem with the WoW. I play almost everyday and hands down the best PC game I've ever played.

I'm wondering what percentage on sales they are losing every month buy not having enough in on the shelves. With the recent price drop of the 360, the lack of merchandise on the shelves will result in sales loses for sure. Overall I'm happy for Nintendo. After the N64 and Gamecube, this is great news for them. Good to see them back on track.

Yea, I hate when I see the Horde depicted as the "Evil" faction in World Of Warcraft. I think someone not knowing the lore of the game looks at the characters on each side and determines the "ugly" ones are evil. Nothing could be further from the truth. I used to play Horde but switched to Alliance about a year ago because many of my real life friends were playing Alliance and on our Server, the Horde had only one guild progressing through endgame. Neither side is anymore "evil" than the other, but if I'd have to choose one, I'd pick the Alliance as more evil based on lore.
