On one hand you say that the kernel schedule has complete control over applications run status but on the other hand you talk about some special ability applications must have in order to be scheduled. I thought preemptive scheduling was transparent to the applications.

Two years ago I made a huge mistake letting my gf convince me she needed dead sea dirt for her chronic illness. The result, me and my rented car got nearly STONED to death by Jewish hassidic (sp?) villagers just off the main road. I understand now it's not polite to take pictures of your synagogues shirtless but common, stoning tourists w/o even giving a chance to explain themselves? It did not happen to me but later I heard stories of people killed by Jewish religious students for kissing on the beach. Israel maybe the most democratic and western like country in the ME bit it ain't America or Europe, it's still fucking ME. Just remember it.

There are many fools who trust American software, even to run government PCs in foreign countries. Thankfully foreign governments, including my own country has been getting a clue lately and introducing their own version of Linux. One of the reasons I run Linux is because it is less likely to be bugged by CIA, NSA, etc. So I am not surprised at all by NK outsourcing.

The picture is misleading, it does not prove that NK's infrastructure is underdeveloped.

Way to show your ignorance to even put Shia Persians of Iran and Sunni Arabs of Saudi Arabia on the same line. SA and Iran are the worst enemies with SA offering Israel it's airspace to attack Iran. FYI Afghans, Pakistanis, Indonesians (citizens of the most populous Muslim country on earth), Turks, Malays are not Arabs. Come to think arabs are a minority among Muslims. So much for your idea of violent pan-arabism. There was in fact a secular pan Arab movement in the second half of 20th century represented by the Baath party bit it's pretty much dead now. Contemporary Muslim countries are fiercely nationalistic first and the idea of global Muslim caliphate does not have many supporters.

I think you are mistaken about "thinest of connections". Most people in the 80s got into programming exactly because of gaming. They played games, were impressed and wanted to make something like that themselves. This is only a natural reaction for a kid. When they see something for instance on TV they want to imitate it in real-life which then involves some creative behavior, even something like playing cowboys and indians or making a tree house is an example of that. I bet not many people got into programming writing their own version of pyramid sort and such.
