    Whatever problem they are left stranded waiting for a certified Jaguar technician. On the other hand I can fix my 1985 Jimny with a hammer and a screwdriver and will survive an EMP blast! (I think the stereo is only thing that contains digital components)

    The guy has a "nest egg" that will pay for a medical emergency. Someone who has researched his genetic risk factors (it's not really expensive) and knows his families medical history may not need expensive medical attention until his early 70s. This is an informed choice that Obama socialists are taking away from rational people. I hope the next election a wave of genuine conservative anger will wash this socialist club from the WH for good.

    Still, market economy is the only known universal method of determining the price of an item. Soviet Union tried to micromanage prices based on how much labour and raw materials went into it. Sure didn't work.

    Thanks for mentioning Kali. We had to setup klos tcp drivers for dos first. The we played c&c, descent, warcraft 2 originally was very laggy, I believe someone released a kali patch for it.

    According to Netkas (http://netkas.org/?paged=2) it still uses directx to opengl translation. It has not been ported to OpenGL.

    Luckely it's not far from the truth, most people are more good then evil, authority can generally be trusted and what happens to you generally happens for a reason (sure there are women who had never been exposed to nicotine smoke get cancer but in general do not smoke - do not get it works well). The world works because people are mostly good and mostly follow the rules. But people ofnen forget the "most" part, so the first time I got ripped off by a person I trusted was a total shock to me, I did not know people could be like that.

    Right, NVIDIA and their continuous re-branding of 2 generations old GPUs is beyond confusing. 330m, what is that? Turns out to be a re-branding of 240m, which is of course not based on GT200 core, but a re-branding of something else. A non-technical person simply does not stand a chance figuring this out.

    Mathematics (and CS) is one of the few fields where you do not need an expensive *formal* education to produce results. SOme books and a pensil is all you need to get into the field. But in my experience (my fater in law is a well known mathematician in the field of optimization) professional mathematicians are some of the mist vile and jelous people and will back stab and degrade you if they feel threatened by your results. They will heappil use the formal exuse of not hsvibng the right degrees and not following some process to mow you down.

    I think you are overreacting. Of course it is the norm to have children. These people are rewarded handsomely by the warmth of their relationships. But someone who chose a (difficult in it's own way) oath of celibacy and dedication to his profession should also be rewarded with recognition among peers and of course greater monetary compensation. Society needs all kinds of people.

BTW, just for fun check with your local Rabi, it is possible (bit rather hard) for a person of any ethnicity to convert to Judaism, and then... you get an automatic ticket to Israel.
