  1. Re:Honestly... on RIAA Gets Nervous, Brings In Big Gun · · Score: 1

Very true. And according to the GP, the "uncompressed PCM file" you speak of would actually be a derivative work because the original was recorded on analog equipment and the PCM is just a sampling of that sound.

(I agree with you, and not the GP)

  6. Re:Hopeful in regards to Silverlight? on Vector Graphics Lead Wish List For Future Browsers · · Score: 0

I knew it! Silverlight supports 62bit browsers, and not 64bit browsers. There is the catch. I wonder if Microsoft has a patent on 62bit computing?

Seriously though, Silverlight does seem nice, and I actually do hope it is a Flash-killer. At least, some competition is always welcome. Especially if MS is actually playing nice. However, Silverlight is no excuse to lack proper SVG/Canvas support.

  7. Drupal.. on Selling Online with Drupal e-Commerce · · Score: 0

Ugh, it is alright. We adopted a project that ran on Drupal, but the old developers just didn't do it right. One problem about Drupal is it's performance - at least, for any project where you want very dynamic content (up to the minute). It really slows down then, especially if you have lot's of modules.

The module idea is OK, but it turns drupal into a single-paradigm framework.
