Very true. And according to the GP, the "uncompressed PCM file" you speak of would actually be a derivative work because the original was recorded on analog equipment and the PCM is just a sampling of that sound.
Too late. Actually I had to switch from Comcast to AT&T in the USA. They were sending fake RST packets and throttling my upload while on bittorrent. Even after I messed with iptables.
I knew it! Silverlight supports 62bit browsers, and not 64bit browsers. There is the catch. I wonder if Microsoft has a patent on 62bit computing?
Seriously though, Silverlight does seem nice, and I actually do hope it is a Flash-killer. At least, some competition is always welcome. Especially if MS is actually playing nice. However, Silverlight is no excuse to lack proper SVG/Canvas support.
Ugh, it is alright. We adopted a project that ran on Drupal, but the old developers just didn't do it right. One problem about Drupal is it's performance - at least, for any project where you want very dynamic content (up to the minute). It really slows down then, especially if you have lot's of modules.
The module idea is OK, but it turns drupal into a single-paradigm framework.
How do photovoltaic curtains help you smoke pot? I guess they can hide the fact from pesky neighbors. Just a minute, I think someone is at the door. Odd - nobody I know knocks like a cop.
Maybe I am missing the point. Aren't anniversaries supposed to be on significant dates? 10 years, 20years, 50 years. Heck, I'd even accept powers of two since this is slashdot. Oh well. I will see you again next year for annual BASIC day!
It's true. I got so good at Guitar Hero that I tried to cut an album with a large music label. Let's just say things aren't the same in real life (or in South Park).
I believe the article mentioned the Java code already being compiled to bytecode. This would imply that comments, long variable names, etc, are already stripped out. I do agree, this still seems rather wasteful compared to the GWT technique.
I was just thinking about that... I wonder if we should thank Metallica for shutting down Napster and creating a market for a better P2P system (i.e: torrents)

(I agree with you, and not the GP)
NVidia = poor Linux support? Would you mind telling me what card _you_ use??

No. They are digital. You can even hear the reeds click between on and off.
I hope the database will run on Zune so I can squirt my Drizzle.

Wouldn't they be higher? Unless the smog makes you a faster athlete than ever before.
you mean GTK was chosen?
woosh
/me looks for another email provider before all my mail is sent to Fox Media or something like that. Damn, I don't even watch shitty Viacom stuff.
Sure, in that case you are just better off with a bus right?

is a series of tubes
REALLY?? Me too!
This is the most interesting post I've ever read on slashdot. Modpoints anyone??
embrace is spelled with an x?
Actually, the PS2 came with room for HDD expansion, so I would hardly consider the fact that the XBOX shipping with one as revolutionary.
mismatched quotations in summary, blarrr.
but an onboard computer AND handheld computer. Impressive!
True. And he shouldn't be using a FONT tag either..
