"Life was created in the initial Big Bang, when crunchy particles of wheat collided with creamy milk to form the foundation for all else to come. It wasn't until man developed the technology to build spoons and bowls could we harness the true power of Life. "
Jobs is the only one that "gets" it. With Univeral being one of the largest record companies- this could change the face of music inthe digital age.
My fear is that it's such a big addition to apple- will they loss focus. Look at the problems sony electronics have trying to be cutting edge but catering to Sony music's fears of piracy.
And what about that pesky lawsuit with Apple Records. Apple was never to go into the music business.
no apple does not own "i". they're going to claim he's causing brand confusion. Apple lawyers will argue that the marketplace will be confused and consumers will buy iboxes thinking they are apple computers.
unlike lindows- this guy in his garage making iboxes as a hobby will not have the legal power or cash to stop the i-steamroller
Is there any technical info on Rendezvous? Does it not broadcast across subnets? I've added mod_rendezvous to 2 macs on different subnets of my network and they can't be seen...
It seems the inital designs are missing ATONs (aid to naviation).
Without running lights (starboard, port, steaming/mooring) I think the coast guard is going to have a problem with this thing, as surely it's going to be classified as a boat and not a personal watercraft.

fink reinstall openssl-shlibs dlcompat-shlibs curl-ssl-shlibs
and you're set to go.
well we know they goofed and "lost focus" with the powerschool purchase. So yes, Apple has the ability to make mistakes too.

exactly what i was getting at, but much more eloquently conveyed.

apple legal is going to go after him for creating brand confusion and misleading the consumer into thinking the "ibox" is an apple product.
I wish him luck, but I bet he's going to get squashed by apple legal.

As someone who lives in alphabet city- I wouldn't recommended hanging out in Tompkins Square Park with a laptop.
To my tivo, I'm a 5 year old with a $600 a week crack habit.
It looks like this thing is running a pixo OS - almost identical to the one the iPod uses.
