    Netflix does not even list the Discworld "Going Postal" movie. I am debating if I should buy it from amazon.co.uk and play it on my region free player or if I should just download it since they clearly do not want my money.

    No, when I say FREE I mean FREE as in freedom. As I prefer GPL or BSD odds are it will also be free-as-in-beer but that is a secondary concern.

    Your problem is not electric supply, it is consumption. Sounds like your heating your homes with resistors, stop doing that and get some heat pumps. Also try selling your power to your neighbors, they eat cheese and live a short swim away.

    Define good. It costs a lot would be unfeasible in a decent size country with a reasonable travel load and their biggest threat is from people who can't afford airplane tickets.

    I don't hate apple. I loved the IIe, the iMac of yore and even OSX when they launched it. I hate what they have become.

    Even if the above is true, with the IOS software I won't buy their crap. I am not paying rent to run my own software and own my device. I know Apple does not want users like me, and I will abide by their wishes and not buy any of their products. An Air would make a nice linux laptop, but with this kind of hostility towards me I won't buy anything they make.
