Unfortunately this is more a case of GameStop buying EB and not the other way around. It's entirely likely that the trend could be EBs carrying less computer games.
Oh, you mean that obsolete middleman that skims some money off the top while adding the inconvienience of me having to go out to the store?
Yeah, stores are obsolete. Everyone would rather conveniently wait a day or two (or more) for the package to arrive in the mail. You're welcome to buy online if you'd like though (and pay the same price, of course).
The PC version had the Hobbes explanation cutscene removed from the game. It was restored in the 3DO version.

Yeah, I did a dejagoogle search before originally citing that 5 minute figure. That seemed to be a common wait time back then, at least for most of the later missions. I recall it to be about 5 minutes from my experience, sometimes even longer. This instantly dropped when you played on a computer with 16 megs of RAM.
WC4 was six. There was a DVD version of WCP made, but not released. It was to be bundled with one of the Creative Labs DVD kits, but Creative ended up going with a different game for mass production.
EA bought Origin in 1992 or thereabouts. All the Wing Commander games after that point were done by Origin, including the universally renowned Wing Commander Privateer, WC3, WC4 and so on.
Bah! Super Soakers all the way. That guy was just using a limited selection of Soakers. http://www.wcnews.com/chrisreid/supersoakers.html

To be fair, this isn't the first time they've appeared. I saw them hyping Rainbow Six BA and Ghost Recon 2 at the Penny Arcade Expo back in August.

Richard Garriott's new company already has them beat.

Only $600 Million before December? EA's much bigger than that. Their fiscal year total is projected to be $3 Billion. http://info.ea.com/pr/pr449.pdf
This is unfortunate. Reminds me of when EA shut down the Wing Commander half of Origin.
