With that said, people who blame site errors on actual cold fusion are idiots. It's not CF that is the problem, it is bad CF code from bad developers. That would be like saying "this application sucks. It was written in C++ on UNIX. That means that C++ and UNIX suck." I've heard that myspace is migrating their servers from an old CF platform to CFMX and CFMX7. That might be an issue. And yes, CF has become just an abstraction layer to JAVA. You can still code in the basic CF tag lanugage but you can also run java code right from the CFM pages.
I did the same exact thing. I was like "why the hell is slashdot going to have discussion on a 1980's cartoon?" I was ready to throw my 2 cents in and ask why the U.S. Gov't spent millions of dollars trying to destroy a highly organized terrorist network but every episode GI Joe couldn't kill one damn person? It would be like if we sent our troops to Iraq with all those high tech weapons but the insurgents never got killed.
Energy comes from oil. Oil comes from dirty Arabs. Dirty Arabs are terrorists. If you play the Xbox360 you are supporting terrorism/Fox News told me so
I can't believe people still buys these? I'll take a look at few when I'm browsing Borders or B & N But I would never waste 5 to 10 bucks on them. The news is alwasy one month out dated. I know some of them come with a demo disc but seriously MS/Nintendo/Sony should be giving those out for free without the magezines.
88.4% of readers believe PlayStation 3 is too expensive, while 10% believe it's 'about right'.
and 1.6% of the readers think that Sony should sell the PS3 for $1200?
There isn't any law against it. Company X produces a product and says to all retailers "The MSRP is so many dollars, go under that and we will cut you off." Apple has been doing it for years.
Sometimes when I eat a lot of burritos and drink a lot of beer I won't say anything for like 20 minutes and then I unleash my deadly storm! So if you see me silent in a taco bell then run!
BMX XXX is a bad example. That game was horrible and just because you put boobies into a game doesn't mean that it is instantly cool and all the 20ish gamers want it. I played BMX XXX and Mario Sunshine and both are gay for two completly seperate reasons.
Yes because including the name "Breezy Badger" on the CD case which is attached to the front cover of Linux-magazine and displaying it on the mag self at Borders and Barnes and Nobel helps out the cause. Maybe if the Linux community didn't advertise the release name then nobody would make fun of it. Just a thought. Oh and thanks for personally attacking me for making a comment about a distro's name dip shit.

I don't know about you about I've mentioned the Ubuntu Breezy Badger Linux to a few of my co-workers, friends, and my fiance' and they all just laughed at me. Even if it's super duper awesome nobody is going to take it seriously until the name is changed.
If the Bible has taught anything, and it hasn't, it's that old people are worthless and that they should spend their remaining days watching the Price is Right, yelling at kids who are on their lawns, eating at the Sizzler, and such and such.
I played around with Moodle because I was doing research on the SCORM API. Moodle has a module for SCORM 1.2 that is about 90-95% SCORM compliant. I found the installation and administrating of Moodle to be very good. If I was the IT Admin at a small college (at least) I would be comfortable having students use it.
True, there are really no games that I want and there have been no games worth mentioning since launch. However, remember last year with the Nintendo DS? The system launched with like 2 good games. It wasn't until at least 6 months later that anything worth wild came out. For me it was Meteos and Advanced Wars Duel Strike. When Nintendo 64 came out there was only 2 games for a few months to choose from. With that said it takes time for stuff to come that is worth playing. With that said I'm not holding my breath for xbox360. I'm still waiting for Sony and Nintendo.
I talked to a manager at a Game Stop about that very issue. He said that the majority of the store profits comes from used game sales and that if Sony ever decided to distribute games like this that Game Stop would stop selling Sony PS3's all together.
There were games like Strider and Virtual Racer that went for like 70 to 100 dollars depending on how much ram they put into them. But you are right, 98% of the games where $50 or less
Wow. I built a couple of apps back in June of 2005 with basically that same methodology! Thanks IBM and Slashdot! Oh and it was cross browser compatiable as well.
That is true. I took a few Grad Software Engineering Classes at UMUC.com and all of my teachers told me that one of the purposes of the degree was to train the students to become managers of outsourced Indian developers.
Actually, it was suppose to be coming out shortly after PS3 which up to this point was sometime in Spring 2006. However, Sony announced that they wouldn't bring out PS3 until this Christmas/Thanksgiving. I bet that if Sony changed the release date to this Summer or even sometime in 2007 Nintendo would change as well.

Sites like this make me sick. For the love of God, Turn Cold Fusion debugging off!!! Seriously, it's not that hard.

Whoever buys this needs a punch in the groin. Congratulations. You just bought a device that makes playing games that much more difficult.
imagine a Beowulf Cluster of Ultra Monkeys running Breezy Badger with a Hooray Hedghog backup...

I'm going to hold out until they have the "Windy Hamster" version.

Thank you! Apparently nobody has a sense of humor anymore on Slashdot.

Does that mean that the collective geekiness of slashdot can sue them if they don't comply? How does the GPL get enforced?
