With such names as McDonnalds and Ekfards backing SCO, you cant loose!!! I mean, just read this testimonial from their own site "'We've had tremendous success with SCO UNIX(R)... and found it to be reliable and dependable for our POS [Piece of sh*t]... pharmacy..."
er... so then we will have windows on our windows, also the windows operating system. So we could have windows on our windows desktop, which is on our windows. Im confusing myself
This is the one thing I truly dislike about linux. This, in my opinion, is the only place microsoft has you. It should have been thought about from the start. Microsoft has know since the start with ole that interoperability is one of the most important features of a gui, but here we are will linux zealots still debating gtk and qt...
are starting to make me seriosly consider living inside a cardboard box... unless ofcouse it would be a copywire violation to use the word cardboard or box, maybe a coragated cube... then again apple could sue me for using the word cube...
You could be paying three times that for a microsoft product, AND have to constanty put up with microsofts purpetual updates and service packs. At least with RedHat you dont have to worry about security from update to update.
So, does this mean we will start seeing IBM workstations with linux on them? I personaly cant wait to get a thinpad without having to pay micro$oft 20% of the cost:P
LOL, This just keeps getting better. Pretty soon Apple will be paying windows users to switch and ABC will start paying cable companys to drop CBS and NBC
How long do you think it will take untill somone decides it would be funny to hijack someones vission and hack their contacts? It could be someone trying to be funny, just make the person think their seeing things... Or it could be someone trying to blind them... Just imagine waking up, putting on your contacts and being tourtured by avertisments, IN YOUR EYES. Thats a future that I am terrified of!
You want to know why this is drifferent?
You can ignore billboards.
You can ignore webbanners.
You can ignore the moron on the street.
You can ignore the sales piches.
You cannot ignore a popup that steals focus on your computer screen right in the middle of your work. It decreases productivity and it just pisses you off. Untill you experience this type of "advertisement" first hand, you just cant understand how disturuptive and even disturbing it is.
One every 10 minutes is an understatement. When I was using windows XP I was getting one every minute easy, I had to change my ISP.
Its just sick how they try to get people to pay to dissable messanger. I wonder if their "service" actualy just added the users name to an exclude list!
I know who is'nt working over time anymore...
Sounds like a soft drink name...
Upgrading 2.4 to 2.6 broke my network D: Good thing I backed everything up first.
A very good reason to switch to linux is when micro$oft cant even provide for their own security...

Why hasnt this dude been trolled yet?
He's either the biggiest moron in the world or he's(his advisors) a genius
It never ceases to amaze me the amount of things people can come up with and do for no apparent reason...

lord/serf?
No offence to any californian slashdoters, but I wouldent expect anything less to come from a population that elected Arnold their governer.
Were legal because we said so!
Microsoft has begun its invasion into things I use...
... mmm, I can smell the cooking flesh already!
