I participated in the PS2 EQ (Everquest Online Adventures it's called) beta test. Before playing that, I thought there was no way mmorpgs could be half as good on consoles...
There is no broadband in my city, therefore I can not get it. WHY REFUSE TO TAKE (more of) MY MONEY JUST BECAUSE MY CITY IS TECHNOLOGICALY IMPAIRED?!?!?
Weither I make money doing it or not, I have to make games some day. Every single day since I was 5 I have thought up games, I see them in my head, they get more and more detailed, and if they don't get out I think they will eventualy drive me insane. I wish there was a college around here that offered Game Design classes, the most technical thing I can take is PC & LAN Management (I'm only 17 and my mom won't let me go off for college, nor pay for me to go beyond an associates degree).
Anyone can paint, write, make a movie, or play an insturment... paint/paintbrushes, paper/pencils, camcorders, and insturments are relitively cheep and easy to obtain. People who love to do it, have the creativeness, and have the drive to do it professionaly can easily find a college for it. I can not wait for the day when game design is that easily accessible.

PEOPLE SUCK. Games are a way to interact without having to deal with the crappiness of ppl. I'd stop interacting with ppl irl completly, if it would not hinder my ability to pay for games.
Real ppl smell, lots of them are ugly, the majority of them are total idiots, and worst of all, you don't have the option to turn them off. Irl you are forced to be around ppl you don't like, but in many games you can block those ppl, and if not you can play a diffrent game.
The following questions are NOT rhetorical (another reason I hate ppl is they usualy answer my rhetorical questions and ignore my non-rhetorical ones, because they're to retarded to understand what I'm saying) ~
Everyone's so worried when ppl play games and "neglect their real lives"... WHY? If someone wants to play games all the time and not clean their house, take showers, etc, why the hell does anyone else care??!?!?! Why are they so aginst other ppl being happy (well not nessicaraly happy, but... not totaly unhappy)? It's because they're miserable so they want everyone else to be miserable to right?
I'm not trying to be accepted (I do not need to be surrounded - or virtualy surounded - with people to enjoy myself), I was just making a point. If ppl don't like the way games are, they can do something else, instead of games changing to cater to them.
You're surprised that in a game about shooting each other, people only want to shoot each other?!?! Jeez... if you want to socialise, go to a chat room.
And... I love Mario, but how is it not considered way more sexist than Tomb Raider??!! Mario's always trying to save the princess, a woman who is weak and can't fight for herself. RARELY does she do anything other than get kidnaped stand there looking pretty. I suppose if she had big boobs it would be bad, right?
I am a bisexual female gamer, and I don't know about other women but the reason I don't play Tomb Raider is because it totaly sucks. I usualy like large breasted game women (I LOVE the Dead or Alive girls, and can't wait for DoA Xtreme Beach Volleyball), but Lara Croft isn't even that hot. Why play Tomb Raider when there's better-looking chicks in less-crappy games?
And btw the idea lately that games need to be made more female friendly p!$$es me off... if I wanted to do girly things, I'd go bake and put on make up or some such crap. Dosen't anyone ever think maybe girls play games because they LIKE the male-orientedness??
