I have a friend who owned a 15 year old corolla. His wife owned a brand new astra, think of it a corolla equivalent built by GM. His car never broke down, hers was back in the shop approximately every 3 months. In terms of paper value his car was close to worthless, in terms of utility, his car was far more useful.

You might also want to look at the resale value of Toyotas as opposed to other cars.

Not everyone buys a car based on handwaving. My wife and I made a very consious financial decision to buy a corolla as probably the best financial decision for a car in that size. Cheaper parts, lots of them on the road so no trouble finding a mechanic or parts, good resale value (which is in itself a comment on running costs).

Further, there's numerous other security options you can enable both at the wireless level and the network level to further protect your network, alongside good security practices with existing WPA2 (e.g. maximum length WPA key consisting of random characters and numbers). For example, MAC Address whitelisting, a strong password on the AP, and enabling AP configuration changes to occur only through wired connections. A half decent wireless AP should expose all of these options.

From what I have heard, MAC address whitelisting doesn't offer any real security. You can get that from someone else connecting to the AP.

The leader of the Socialist Party in the US was interviewed at some point during the 20th century. He was asked why he had quit running for President. His answer? The two major parties had embraced most of his ideals, so he thought it was no longer necessary. The story may or may not be true; but it certainly rings true.

I honestly have not idea why Americans think they have socialism on their political spectrum. On a world spectrum all your candidates are either right or far right. That alone might go some way towards explaining why being called socialist is an insult.

He is on the record as being pro net-neutrality. So I'm finding your point confusing. You are conflating the issues of net neutrality and telecom immunity, both important but not directly related. Given that, to my knowledge, there have not been any votes on Net Neutrality in congress, what more could Obama do to show his support of Net Neutrality.
