Very much a matter of opinion. I know people who do work in Paint Shop Pro that is on-par with work done in Adobe Photoshop, and there's a $450 price difference.
It's just whatever works for you. I use Photoshop and Illustrator myself, but I can do some pretty excellent work in Microsoft Image Composer.
Iron Chef has been cancelled in Japan for a few years now, so you can't really say it's in decline. Once a year, they'll do a special but those are actually a little better than the regular episodes.
Unless you're counting Iron Chef USA, which... ugh. It's not Iron Chef!
