Hence the reason why, when reinstalling OS'es on my computer, I unplug the power and/or IDE cables from my storage HDD's. This also prevents me from accidentally deleting the partitions from the wrong disk.
whenever Corel WP 6.1 came out.
in one of my classes where we're learning NetWare 3.12, we do a network install of WP and set it up for the DOS workstations to use. You can switch it to a GUI mode, and have a WYSIWYG editor...although if you mean text console as in like a WYSE terminal console...nevermind.

what about people who want to use two Apple Cinema displays? i may be ignorant of a fact (cinema display with DVI?), but it seems like they'd be up a creek...
wow...channel 1. i forgot that existed... i was in band all 4 years, and that met 1st hour. to give us more practice time, every time that came on we'd just turn off (or unplug) the TV and keep playing.:)
I used to work at a Gateway Country store, and in the small office corner of the store they had a server on display running Win2K server something. You could, and we frequently did, easily pop out the hot-swap SCSI drive from it, without it crashing.
ok, sorry again..knee jerk reaction. apparently you're ignorant of this fact. Antifreeze, aka ethelyne glycol (I think) is VERY toxic. Unfortunatly, it tastes very sweet, so dogs, cats, and other wildlife like to drink it. This is unfortunate, because it kills them, or at least can make them quite sick.
I live in Cedar Rapids, IA, and we only have 1 supplier that I know of. The one time i bought some, it was 1 guy in an old building, sitting next to a cooler (not a freezer, basically a big foam cooler), with a scale and a stack of paper bags.
Now, in my ex gf's hometown (Indianola, IA), they have a Penguin Dry Ice cooler in the Hy-Vee. That suprised me, because Indianola is a lot smaller than CR.
That may be true for some sites...I remember back in the day accessing the PMZone.com (Popular Mechanics) website, and seeing the warning about needing a fast connection and fast computer. However, I more than occasionally use my cell and laptop to dialip at 9.6K, and don't have as many problems as one might expect.
Just finished disc 1, and it was great! I had DL'ed and watched a few of the episodes already, but the others were hilarious.
I don't want to burn through it too quick though, so I'm going to wait on the other 3 discs.
OnTopic: oddly enough, that DIDN'T occur to me, even though I started reading this thread while taking a break from watching S3D1.
I recognize all situations are different. That said, are you taking issue with Hotmail specifically, or with a typically free email provider?
Neither was I, but then I found the page. N-Series
heh...nice.
It's possible they might be referring to the Blazing Saddles reference.

first post? w00!
Well, thay way you don't miss anything important. You don't have to wait for a commercial break to make that popcorn anymore.
400 is a lot more than 100, though not as big a difference as if Firewire ran at 3200Mb/s (3.2Gb/s), which it doesn't.
USB 1.1 - 12Mbits/s - ~1.5MBytes/s
USB 2.0 - 480Mbits/s - ~60MBytes/s
Firewire - 400Mbits/s - ~50MBytes/s
Firewire 800 - 800MBits/s - ~100MBytes/s
10Mb or 100Mb Ethernet is 10 MBits/second or 100 MBits/second, so...
10Mb - 10Mbits/s - ~1.25MBytes/s
100Mb - 100Mbits/s - ~12.5MBytes/s
1000Mb (gigabit) - 1000Mbits/s - 125MBytes/s
Yes, firewire IS faster than 100Mb Ethernet, but not that much faster.
massive Douglas Adams reference. I give thee props.
isn't it called the Replicator?

LOL...sorry, couldn't control it.
