Interesting. The registrar i've long used, buydomains.com, doesn't appear to be ICANN-accredited, yet I've never had a problem with them or heard anyone who has. Is there a reason why a perfectly good registrar wouldn't get ICANN-accredited?
For me, Enter only submits if... Submit is selected. Otherwise it inserts a newline into the multiline textbox. What kind of shitty browser are you using?
Wow, this zeitgeist really sucks now. It's focused on nothing but search info, which I guess is expected from Google - but demographic information be damned, it seems. They should be looking to gather more information on things like browser, OS, country, etc. Just throwing a load of search terms on a page isn't particularly compelling, especially when they're all so predictable.
trying to stop it is like trying to stop the use of drugs
Please, use the word 'narcotics'. I'm so sick of people moronically using the work 'drugs' to mean the same thing. They are not. The vast majority of 'drugs' are useful tools helping people to live their lives and recover from ill health. Thank you.
Hehehe, my mummy bought this book for me when I was little. I still have it in my bookshelf today:-)

One thing that would really help me sometimes would be if Google allowed you to do an 'exact match' search. No, I don't mean enclosing something in double quotes, that still ignores capitalization, whitespace, and most non-letter characters. I'd like to be able to search for pages that have the EXACT string '#windows EFNET', for example, or '/usr/bin/' or whatever. '/Usr/biN' wouldn't match, and nor would '#windows^^EFNET' (where ^ is equal to a space:-) ).
I sent an e-mail to Google about this and the guy who replied didn't seem to think it was possible... anyone know if it is?
Erm, that's only because of the bizarre plus signs the grandparent poster put in - try this. Note to grandparent: Just about any modern search engine assumes words not prefixed by anything are to be included in the Boolean search query. No need for +.
I have to respectfully disagree - it's been quite a while since I had bad customer service from BT. Yeah, they used to be a ripoff but I think they're better now. That said, I never used O2 or BT Openworld, I suspect they're crap, but BT's basic landline service and customer support (very rarely needed) is fine...
Yep - I'm in the process of migrating back to Zen Internet right now (down to £25/mo for reliable, uncapped 512kbps ADSL!), but you make the slight mistake of confusing BT with BT Openworld. BT have a dept called BT Wholesale - they're fine, and provide you with the connectivity you use to connect to ISPs like Zen. BT Openworld are the ISP branch of BT, and they suck.:-)
I don't understand people who whinge about the rental cost of their landline, because they don't use it for calls. You're not being charged for calls - if you sign up with a no-frills package, that rental is going towards *maintainance* (it's not that cheap to run a national phone network, you know) and, yes, some profit for BT (they're a company in a capitalist economy). You think your copper phoneline, which is obviously REQUIRED for DSL, should be provided to you for free?
I hate to sound like the RIAA, but I have to disagree about the ad revenue - his missing the show means they DID lose a viewer for the ads, and ultimately ad revenue. Not having watched the ads, he should then have to pay something to watch it. Missing the regular broadcast of the show isn't IMHO an excuse for getting a free lunch.
Heh, not really, no. That's a bit like turning up to Wal-Mart, doing your shopping, coming to the counter and saying 'oops, I forgot my wallet. What do you mean I can't have this stuff, don't you WANT me to shop here?'
I have to say, the US obsession with anonymous ballots does amaze me. How would it encourage vote buying? OK, so a political party pays someone to vote for them. The person votes for someone else, and comes out with a receipt to prove it. Then what? They beat them up? They might have law enforcement to deal with.
However, could somebody tell me how they're planning on fitting 10,000 names on a single newspaper page, with each name displayed "in a readable font size"?
I'm not saying you shouldn't have the TITLE tag for images, but the ALT text *should* popup instead if there is no TITLE tag. Only yesterday I saw a good example of this here. Those images could do with something describing them - the ALT text does, but nothing else. Ought the webmaster to have used TITLE or a caption on the page? I guess so. Did they? No. And as it happens, the ALT text is fine both for screenreaders and a description caption for me.
Surely you mean the other way round? That would be an upgrade.

oh ye and lol at your:
LOL = "That's a knee-slapper!"
OMGWTF! = "I say, ol' chap!"
I read that as:
oh ya and that's a knee-slapper! at your:
That's a knee-slapper! = "That's a knee-slapper!"
I say, ol' chap! = "I say, ol' chap!"
English speakers?
Wow, you must *really* have got lucky. You can't even count to five.

I gottit - nothing? Because you probably just made that up anyway, just in case somebody somehow found out what it was the password to.
What? It's easy to get hold of the 2nd presidential debate. It is available on the C-SPAN site, here.
Damn, damn DAMN!!! I guess that domain parker will get rich instead of me now. >:-(
I haven't installed SP2, but still use OE. Try Tools | Options | Read | Read all messages in plain text.

Old Idea. "I want to have sex"
New idea.....
