Just as my tax dollars go towards subsidizing Grandma's healthcare. It is completely fair. I hardly use the healthcare system but I pay the same proportional amount as Grandma. She will hardly download any music (grand-daughter probably downloads a couple Avril Lavigne cd's), and she will subsidize my downloading. This is what makes Canada so great, everyone is equal. I think this protectionist measure would preserve canadian arts and culture. It could probably be written into existing CRTC (Canadian Radio-Television Commission) regulations.

Expect us to say no to Star Wars. It will be a government ideologically similar to Pierre Elliot Trudeau's minority Liberal/NDP government of 30 years ago.

The prairies are far from a waste of time! In Manitoba make sure to hit Grand Beach. Right in the middle of the prairies, and has carribean'esque white sand. Just beautiful.
If you're still around for next summer, goto Winnipeg and hit the Folk Festival (hippy concert festival in Birds Hill Provincial Park). The Fringe festival (Fringe acts...). and Folklarama (Usually around 50 different pavillions representing different communities that live in Winnipeg. Good food, acts... etc.)
The most beautiful thing in the praries though is the fields. You'll see bright yellow of Canola crops, purple from flax, green for pot (hidden in sunflower fields). Make sure you get some of our Manitoba budd... most potent in Canada;)
