can someone plz set up bittorrents for these, or something... i've been waiting since last month to set an obsd box up.. because i wanted this release =)
go get a Mitsubishi DiamondPro Monitor
you'll be more than happy with either the 19" or 21" models
alternatively i have had excellent experiences with the samsung SyncMaster series, all the way from 17" to 21"
the article appears slashdotted, however....
simple: $250 for Windows XP Pro, because you can't run the "Home" version in an office; and another $350 for MS Office XP Pro, because you can't run Office 9x on Windows XP Pro; this figure may also include the horrendus amount of time it takes to move machines from * to XP due to the shitty system deployment tools available
while your analogy is true in some ways, a better analogy might be the cross burning, with a Q/A session at the end...
i'm not 100% sure there will be q/a for each speaker, but i beleive that's pretty normal
everyone is whining about how bad MS is...well here's your chance to blow it wide open--in front of a bunch of government policymakers
ahem, clearly you have no idea what doing things The Right Way is about, you should probably go do some homework before you make posts on topics you aren't qualified to post on
To answer and continue your analogy: Yes, we give the enemy the plans to the castle, but we also give a whole shitload of castle designers and defense experts the plans, and they go over them with a fine-tooth comb and make sure our castle is well designed. While this is more true in the BSD world than the linux world, the same applies top both. Programmers can't build trojans into major software because anyone looking at the source, who has the right experience, will see it and it will be removed. This is the basis on which OS works.
Also note how quickly trojans slipped into major OS software are discovered, usually very quickly (matter of hours?) of the trojaned software being posted. Specifically, compare that to the (lack of [days, weeks, never]) speed with which M$ updates major security holes in thier products.
how much do you think it weighs, there is no mention of that on thier site, and I have no use for something that feels more like a handcuff than a watch on my wrist =)
P2P != Open Source

It seems to me that lots of people are saying that movie studios are inherently against open source because they are big and corporate and, most importantly, against P2P. Everyone needs to stop for a second and realize that P2P and Open Source are two completely different issues that are linked, in this case, by the fact that/.ers have strong opinions on both, which are anti-msft and anti-movie studios respectively. So please think before you equate the two. Are movie studios really publicly against Open Source or are they just fighting P2P, show me....
Disclaimer: No I don't like msft, studios, corporations, government or anything else you'd like to take a shot at, just broadening perspective here
But, "Provides a foundation for the journalling filesystem (JFS), which may currently be enabled via Disk Utility on Mac OS X Server systems." doesn't exactly seem like support for JFS, more of an experimental thing? It does specfically say "OS X Server", and "foundation" after all. =p
what i would give to have my moderator points for this story
/me kicks self for wasting precious mod points on silly stories
mmm precious
so let me see... young, beautiful, single female? What did you say her cell number was ;)
