    Comcast is a scummy company anyway so I wouldn't put it past them to do something like this. But in that article is said those getting laid off are getting a "$1000 supplemental payment." So, basically they are getting the $1,000 bonus too.

    But looking the evidence here only raises more questions. First there is nothing in the articles that link the layoffs to bonuses. While I can see where you might get the impression that it is, more likely the layoffs where already planned and have nothing to do with the bonuses. Certainly, the ones from comcast don't.

    I could, but I didn't make the clam. It is up to him to prove his case. Not for me to disprove it. The clam has been made, now I'm requesting to look at the data.

    I'm sure they will do just fine with out my patronage. An so will I. It is not like domnos is the only game in town for pizza delivery. Plus its not like delivery is the only option I have. Good thing about having other drivers in my household that I can tell to go get me a pizza. So there are plenty of options for pizza with out leaving the house.

    Drones and pizza delivery are a match made in haven. I believe good drones have a 24 km endurance. That should be perfect for pizza delivery.

  9. Domino's pizza is just a little better than a frozen pizza. Yes, there are better pizzaria's, one of them is right down the road. Problem is they don't deliver, and are not open at 11 PM.

    This. When I ask for delivery I mean for someone else to bring it to my door. I don't want to leave the house. In other words, I don't want to get dressed, put on shoes and walk out to the curb.

    Looks like you hit a nerve and got some mods panties in a wad. Some people don't like to see the truth. Truth is samba is a nightmare to set up on any system beyond the basic file sharing. Once you get it set up it works rather well, but after you get it set up it falls under the "get it working and leave it alone" software type.

    I still think you are over simplifying it. With the standard deduction your rate drops from 22% to 10%. Which is a lot of people problems with taxes. They look at top numbers and just run with those. But is also part of the problem with the system. It is just way to over complex. You look at it one way and get a different set over numbers than I do.

    An fair warning, you don't want me to get started on that $1.5 trillion. There is not a enough bits in /. comment database for me to express how unhappy I am with that.

    Did you take into account the standard deduction of $12,000 for a single filer? That will drop a single filer with a $40K income from the 22% tax bracket down to the 12% tax bracket.

    The data you linked to shows that you are wrong. Virtually everyone across the board is getting a tax break. Poking some numbers into the CNN tax calculator itself shows that you are wrong too.

    Really? Can you site your sources please? I didn't vote for him and I'm not a friend of his but starting next month my pay check will be going up $130 per week.

    While I meant my post in jest, you do have a point. Our society does seem to be anal about protecting the little kiddies from seeing any boobies. I read a post a few days ago about a parent who wouldn't let her kid see Deadpool because it had a 5 minute sex scene in it. But she seemed to have no issue with body parts flying all over the place.

    Kids have it so easy these days. I remember we had to wait till the end of the month then go dumpster diving in the middle of the night when I was a kid to get our porn. That was when the gas station down the road would throw out all its unsold playboys and hustlers.

    Now all they have to do is download the crappy app and get bonus porn. Kids are so lucky these days.

    This is something that I have never understood. Why do we go out of our way to try to preserve these dying languages in the wild? Each language spoken is just one more barrier to overcome in a already over complex world. Sure, record and document them for history and cultural reasons, but other than that let them die a natural death.

  21. I doubt that most users would even notice a 10% difference. I've applied all the appropriate patches and I haven't noticed any difference in performance. Still that being said, I didn't pay for 90% performance. I paid for 100% performance, and I expect to have it.

    I switched from AMD to Intel for this cycles build. I'm starting to rethink that.

  25. Since there is no such thing as unbreakable encryption, I fail to see the problem here. Sure, it might take you a trillion years but all encryption can eventually be broken. Just takes time.
