Come on. MacOSRumors.com on a forum post. Let's not loose our heads and start spreading FUD because of something someone's brother's first cousins next-door neighbor read in a forum post.
If you're smart enough not to accept random files and put your admin password in for anything that pops up - this won't be much of an issue.
Uhh.. can't you send in your out of warrenty iPod to Apple for $99 and get a new one?
Still can play all your iTunes purchased music.
No hassle of sending in a rebate.
I'd just once like to see ExtremeTech test a series of products that didn't include Microsoft. There are a lot of codecs that perform well that could have been tested in place of WmP9.
I hate to admit it but in one way, its a smart step because of the number of users still on 98.... on the other hand....it's also like keeping your 120 year old grandfather on life support "just because"...
But his article doesn't base this comment on *anything*.. He doesn't relate it to bitrate(which is worse than AAC btw) OR even DRM...
It's such a flamebait comment.
The pricepoint for the iPod mini I found very reasonable. I mean, for a flash drive? You can buy 1gb USB thumbdrives now and they cost over $300.. so $249 for a product from Apple, with the space you get... seems reasonable.
Keep in mind they'd be killing themselves if they offered a sub-$100 iPod. No one would purchase the higher priced models and then there goes the profits...
Stop blaming everyone else for your security problems.
.. Instead, how about posting your picture on the net with a "most wanted" caption after you open a virus laden attachment...
Peer pressure can be a bitch.
C'mon. If someone gets out of their car with it running and it gets stolen, the news doesn't talk about the guy who stole it... they show pictures of the moron who left the keys in it.

Someone doesn't understand the fundamentals of MX records.
I think it's possible to overcome the downfall of a former employer. I had one myself.
As long as you don't badmouth the company and stick up for whatever you believe.. it shouldn't cause much difficulty during the interviews.
I can't see this as a solid state product. Think about the USB flash drives. They're only up to 1GB and cost almost $300.
The price point seems to low for a solid state device. For that much, I'd say its a HD.
I think this is unfair. They are providing a replacement service.
If the iPods had alkaline batteries, people would be complaining that they have to replace them...
This time next year, there will be half as many services available. Of course everybody is jumping on the bandwagon now, but with confusing restrictions like buymusic.com, most of these services will not last.
I think musicmatch, napster and iTunes have it going right with minimal restrictions and wider usage of the files.
I too would like to see a combination of the best parts of each of these services.

Did someone forget that we've tried this for the original macintosh....and it failed worse than I did on my last mid-term?

It's not upgradeable! .... wait.. sorry.. thought we were talking about the Cube..

WMP? superior? How could something that reminds me of the word WiMP.. be superior?
Finally.. bush admits to his plan to shoot Rumsfeld to the moon!
Also includes new feature to calculate the number of years it'll take me to afford the 40gb iPod...
Would a cluster of eMacs be referred to as eGads! ?

What *research* would you do with a million random addresses? That didn't answer the question...
Give me a legitimate use of one million random email addresses...
Why aren't such CD's outlawed? I mean, contries go after drug suppliers... why not go after those supplying an individuals email address?

Put a fridge and a tv in and you may not have an excuse to go home ...

What happens to all of my music if I'm not getting my *own* iPod back? Sure, a refurb is great if you've got nothing saved on it...
Except in most cases they were relayed through land systems to the rest of the net. Not all of these systems(including mail) are private.
I like these shows and watch many of them, but I feel like I'm the only one that misses the days of Bugs Bunny, Tom & Jerry etc ...
