    Sure. As another poster suggested, just reverse the formula. We know the speed of light, to a high degree of accuracy. Therefore, you can use this same test to figure out the frequency of your microwave.

    You could also look up circular reasoning while your at it

    I would be interested in the motivation behind the challange, its clearly not a 'how good are your ear' challange as the first winner used a computer. Does he hope to boost some obscure area of signal processing or just hand out $100 just for the fun of it?

    Sure the Ion drive is a really neat addition, but it's soooo slooooow. It's going to take them 15 MONTHS to get there! And the payload isn't really greater at all.

    The payload may be the same but the rocket to lift it there is probably much smaller and cheaper

    Why not collaborate with NASA instead of trying to re-invent the wheel?

    Why makes oneself reliant on NASA wheels, when one could have a home grown wheel industry with all the spinoff products that it generates.

    a month or two ago I was listening to a (Radio 4) program about the ressurection of 70 TV shows and it was mentioned that they were working on a animated version of Dr Who... perhaps 'upgraded' to live action?

    However it isn't necessarily unique. We have also seen the same over shorter periods of time for animals. Think of the coelacanth, for example.

    The Jurassic Period was 206 to 144 Million Years Ago the coelacanth is 400 million years old!

    No no, just the ones that can't be authenticated by some sort of cryptographc signature... of course to be useful, such a signature should be prominantly displayed (the forhead is the prefered option). Such a signature would be of great value to the user as it would enable them to buy and sell when non-authenticated individuals are unable to.

    The statement of claim includes lengthy excerpts that it says come from Internet chats in May between the pranksters.

    Complete with misspellings, bad grammar and cyber-style acronyms, the exchanges are used in the statement of claim as evidence that the boys lacked remorse. They also brag in them that they evaded attempts by school officials to find the culprits behind Ghyslain's misfortunes.
