The definition of the Cloud is that I can get to my application and data from anywhere in the world on any device. The cloud itself is made up of servers and plenty of bandwidth. Most corporate applications do not need to be in the "Cloud". And applications and data as a service is just marketing. If you purchase the servers yourself or you purchase the service you are still gong to pay. If I'm offering services I have to divide up my costs and add in my take and that will be the price I charge you. If that is cheaper than what you can do it for yourself then you are happy and I"m happy. I try to keep my costs down by leveraging my huge numbers of servers and bandwidth and huge customer base so that the more the better because each individual customer will end up with lower costs due to shared resources. In the end the severs need to be somewhere they will not disappear. Even if you deal with Google for all your data needs the servers still exist, they exist in a Google data center and not in your data center.
This guy had a girl shot and thrown into a shallow grave alive and buried alive. What about the girl he had shot and buried alive. I'm all broke up over his painful heart attack. I say bring back hangings, firing squads and beheadings. These are three methods we know work and work fast without pain.
The only and best way to back it up is with another 6TB Array. You could setup your array card to write to both arrays simultaneously. You get that much data it becomes a major chore to keep track of the tapes and another array would afford you real time up to the millisecond backup availability. One thing the tapes will do for you is you can keep versions of your backup images from different dates. I would recommend like a small Dell library that holds like 30 tapes and maybe two LTO6 Tape drives. The tapes will allow you to go back in time where the 2nd array will not be able to do that but both would be good for a reliable restorable options in times of disaster.
Ya gotta love all these fucking countries all over the world shaking down American tech companies. All these people should go back to fucking goats for a living and leave the smart stuff up to the smart people...
When I was in the Service and my time was almost up in the Air Force and I pissed off my First Sargent in Anchorage AK, he sent me to a place 50 miles south of the arctic Circle on the Yukon River called Galena Air Force Base. The average Temperature was 45 below 0 F. It got down to -80 one day. I hated it more than anything. Now at least it had ice fishing, snow-mobiling, plenty of Indians to hang out with get get drunk with, none of that will be found on MARS. Now MARS will Make Galena AK in the Winter look like a tropical paradise. There is a reason people don't live on MARS today. That reason is that it's no inhabitable and it's to fucking cold and the atmosphere is not heavy enough with enough O2 to support human life. So why do I want to go to MARS, oh yeah I fuck don't want to go to MARS. I'm very fucking happy living here on earth riding my Harley's all over God creation. You can ride a Harley around Galena AK but you would never be able to on MARS cause MARS Sucks Dick
You want a machine that does Windows and Android? Blue Stacks, or put Linux on your box and hook right into Android market and still have a KVM with Windows 8.1 and blue stacks. This is the 21st Century you can have your cake and eat it too.
It might seem that the end run is to come to the conclusion that we live in some science experiment or we are just part of a computer program like the Matrix. Or you could come to the conclusion that there is order and patterns in all of this and every thing is not as chaotic as you would think things would be if they were all left to just percolate on their own. Maybe just maybe there is a creator of the universe and all of this was created by intelligent design. I"m sorry for pissing off all you heathen's out there in./ land...
In South Carolina you have 3 years to bring a civil action. So the owner still has the right to compensation for the video and related court and administrative costs. As for swearing out a warrant for theft, that is a very grey area. She did not steal the tape as they gave it to her at the store. If she stole it she would have been arrested at the time for shoplifting. I"m sure the statue of limitations for criminal actions has come and gone. Most statues of limitations on criminal actions such as this are only 7 year. If it took 9 years for the police to arrest her then the state failed her by not allowing her speedy justice by failing to arrest her in a timely fashion. If I were her lawyer I would take two approaches to have this thing thrown out. 1. I would say that she did not steal the tape as it was given to her and if she did not return it that was a contractual civil matter and the police overstepped their bounds by getting in the middle of a contract between the store and this woman. The police are not to be arbiters of civil contracts. 2. The statue of limitations is over on any if any criminal actions that might have ever happened.
What gets me is this stuff is so plain to see that the police just live to put people in chains and make a bust. None of the police ever seem to have a mind of their own to think for themselves. The police in our country would have made good Nazi's. They take orders and do their jobs without question. I think I remember hearing the phrase over and over at the Nuremberg trial, "I was just following orders." Our country has taken up where the Nazi's have left off. We have made it illegal just to be alive it's time we decriminalize the act of being human and stop putting each other in jail over such nonsense. Jail should be reserved for bad people who are a danger to society.
Since the water in the Great lakes is slowly draining out the Niagara Escarpment why don't they slow up the amount of water draining out the escarpment and pipe up water from the Great Lakes and send it out to the Arid areas of the West to supply drinking water. Has to be better than the rely on the Colorado River, Arizona River, Platte River basins. Better than all that water just draining into the Atlantic. Then we can keep the fracking moving forward and become more and more energy independent.
Just a thought and I know y'all will hate the idea...

That is why I like to start my day with a monster drink and then just before supper I like to break out the peace pipe and have a few hits. Supper always tastes better with a buzz on. And no you do not kill brain cells with weed, alcohol does that. And it's not your father's weed, it's much more potent. Well I hope so, that just means I"m getting what I paid for and my father got ripped off...
1 in 30 people in the US are under the supervision of the correctional system in the US. We really need to decriminalize being human. There are too many laws and to many ways for people to get arrested and end up at the bar of justice in this country. You can break laws that you never ever imagined ever existed. Hell I probably broke a dozen or so just posting this stupid post...
I like to limit what social sites get in terms of monitoring my web activity and reporting it to all my Family and Friends all over the world, especially when I"m surfing porn.....
It's not I should be able to rake in trillions of dollars but who should be able to rake in the trillions of dollars. Asians who get a pass on throwing billions of tons of particulate matter into space? Tree hugging liberal politicians who never met a tax they didn't like? Of Western Oil and Coal concerns?
I don't know but I don't believe in this global warming is all because of man. I also believe that we should be good stewards of our planet and we ought not to throw tons of particulate into the atmosphere. I think that carbon will only turn our planet greener because plants just love this stuff.
It's all about the money and power grab. It's about ushering in the nanny state that tells all of us that we have to ride skateboards to work and that we all have to get our carbon footprints down to the size of a postage stamp, unless our name is Al Gore. Global temps have been steady for the last 17 years and there has not really been an appreciable change in the weather since we exited the little ice age in the 1800. There has been some ice cap melting caused by particulate matter from Asia settling on the ice caps. Black / Grey absorbs heat and white ice caps reflects heat back out into space. You want to do something for mankind on this planet quit giving Asian countries from Pakistan to Japan a global pass on throwing up massive amounts of particulate into space. The only thing carbon does is fertalize the planet and we get greener grass and leafier trees.
I know the climate change cool aid drinkers probably will hate me with this post but I don't really give a shit.
The thieves are making up credit and debit cards with the Trojan that activate when their fake cards are being swiped at the POS. I wouldn't be surprised if all the stores have not been compromised. That is why I did all my shopping from home. Not that, is any more secure but from this exploit I'm sure it is. The problem with credit cards here in the US is that you don't know if the scanner has been compromised, if the PC/POS system has been compromised or if you are at a restaurant and you hand the wait staff the card you don't know what they are doing with your card in the back room. I say use cash, on payday you take out 2 or 3 hundred dollars to shop with and use that.
CT uses these as a way to integrate education in the state here. The State of CT is under mandate to racially integrate education under the case Sheff v. O'niel. The state can't use forced busing because the towns are autonomous and all the towns pretty much run their own school systems and the only way the state has a say is from some educational dollars thrown their way. Small rich towns get little money from the state and large poor cities get all the money. That is why my property taxes are high. So the Charter school is voluntary and they try to lure rich white kids to sign up along with a good number of minority students. The state also has project choice. Project choice is a program where the state goes into the city and tells minority children, hey you want to go to school in a nice rich town with some really nice white kids? And if the kids say yes, they get bussed to towns like mine. You have to remember that these small rich CT towns, public schools rival the best private schools for quality of education. I hope I didn't piss too many people off but that's how things are done in the "People's Republik of CT...
Does this mean I can get on the plan with my whiskey flask? I used to love getting cocked on a flight. Ever since they banned more than 4 OZ's of liquid that kind killed me and my whiskey from boarding the plane. Also I have been driving or riding my motorcycle more and more instead of flying because of the personal freedom the roadways afford me.
So if Corporations are legal people then why don't we put one in jail for tax evasion. Like the bumper sticker says: I won't believe that corporations are people until Texas executes one !!!
Since this is a bipartisan efforts to erode our constitutional rights the news media who are so in love with big government does not put out too many stories of outrage over these unconstitutional activities. How about if we put it this way: They think that it's ok, it's only people over seas that they are spying on. So then therefore is it just OK if our partners in Europe start to spy on American's? Would we like if if Germany was watching our every move, and who is to say they are not. And in the end swap data with our partners on what's happening in your own country? Sure this is all connected and it's probably a NATO wide effort.
OK this is what the British did with China and what we should do too. GB told China before the handover of Hong Kong, pay us back all the money we loaned you for WWII, with interest or we will close our markets to all your goods. And China paid them back or actually it evened out the books between GB and China. We should do the same too. If they want a world without the US, I believe we could do without them easier than they can do without our US markets. Besides fair is fair.
The hardest part of manufacturing a gun is the barrel. If you can make up some barrels, get a hold of a lathe and some high tensile strength steel or alloy then make up some barrels and put them aside. Making the receiver and all the other parts would be simple. With the proliferation of CAD/CAM software and 3d printer and CAD / CAM hardware you can have all of that done up rather quickly. More and more people are fabricating metal parts at home such as in my hobby motorcycling. It would not take much to take skills I have acquired in motorcycle maintenance and fabrication and turn them to gun manufacture. I'm sure there are CAD / CAM drawings out there floating around in cyber space that will be available indefinitely.
If you get your and on some sheet metal stamping you are good to go. You can always as stated above do the clips in plastic but they are not as reliable or study. I might not want to put my life on the line for plastic clips. In 15 years the Government is going to have trouble keeping track of all these home built weapons and if you can do it all with plastics and ceramics you an go anywhere with the stuff.
Well I went high school in the 70's. Two things I learned about computers in HS. 1. Jack and 2. Shit.
They had a class and it was considered a science class on computers and it was taught on the timeshare Westinghouse system that the school leased timeshares on. I guess Westinghouse or at least that division was out of New Hampshire and the school did all their computer processing business on that timeshare, report cards and the like. I never took the class because you had to be recommended for it and no science teacher was lining up to recommend this pothead for that class.
I learned how to use PC's in the Air Force. I had a Zenith PC / XT equivalent dropped on my desk along with the manuals on Dos, 123, and Peach Bundle. I read all the manuals and learned how to use the thing. Great deal.
I got out of the service and the State of CT paid for my college education were I learned to program.
They are rude online because they are actually all pussies. I learned you never say something about someone unless you are willing to tell them face to face. (There are exceptions, like War lords, Hell's Angel's and the like) I'm sure there are people out there who are willing to say crap about me but will never look me in the eye and say it. They know I will kick the ever living shit out of their worthless hides if they talked to me in public like that. That's what it comes down to. They are cowards.
They are just shiny coal, what's the big deal. They even burn like coal. Waste of money. I guess De-Beers will have an increasing amount of trouble keeping a lid on the diamond market sooner or later.

That is because Larry is not making money on open source like he is on proprietary efforts. He needs to make money to keep his boat afloat.
